Khan Victorious: A Star Trek Timeline is a Star Trek alternate timeline and fan work created by CaekDaemon, one of the most prolific writers of fanfics in AlternateHistory.com.
The premise of this massive timeline is based on what if Khan Noonien Singh and the Augments won the Eugenics Wars through one last ditch effort tactic: engineering a genetic virus, known as the Ascension Flu, which results in any future children born infected with the virus to be born as Augments.

This work contains examples of:
- Adaptational Heroism: Khan Noonien Singh is depicted as a very benevolent tyrant. Even during the end of the Augmentation War, Khan allowed humanitarian aid to his defeated enemies.
- Adaptation Name Change: The Eugenics Wars, or as it is referred to in this timeline, the Augmentation War, though some within the timeline argue that it should be called the Third World War.
- The Bad Guy Wins: Khan wins the Eugenics Wars.
- Bait-and-Switch: The U.S. Government nearly discovered the existence of the Botany Bay during their investigation into Henry Starling's "Aeon" project and Chronowerx. But they wrote it off as an non-existent super-weapon pitched by Starling to scam the government during the Augmentation War. They also dismissed Starling's journal detailing a crashed alien spacecraft and time travel that formed the basis for Botany Bay's engineering as drugged-up delusions upon learning that Starling had been an avid drug user.
- Bio Punk: With the Augments winning the war, biotechnology and genetic engineering becomes widely accepted by Augmented humanity and has advanced to the point of cloning extinct species (which include the establishment of real "Jurassic Parks") both terrestrial and extraterrestrial.
- Boldly Coming: The first known "close" encounter between a human being and a member of an alien race are a human man and an Orion. The human scientific community didn't approve of the man's "methods" of gathering a profile on Orion civilization.
- Break the Scientist: When First Contact was made with the Vulcans, human scientists were left utterly flabbergast over the existence of very human-like aliens. Consequently, First Contact practically destroy all of humanity's previous theories and understandings of extraterrestrial life that left many xenobiologists discredited and their works irrelevant. One scientist expressed his feelings by disposing his gold medal which was awarded for his research on Venusian microbes with a golf club, sending it flying into Lake Superior before getting drunk.
- Call to Agriculture: After the Augmentation War, humanity spent a massive effort in controlled-environment agriculture and green technology to curb global famine and climate change and repairing the damages inflicted from the war.
- Dirty Communists: Unlike in canon Star Trek where humanity abandons the notion of Capitalism and money, and adopts a more Communistic form of economy, Augmented Humanity instead generally sticks to Capitalism and the concept of money never goes away, even after First Contact.
- Disastrous Demonstration: The first test flight of the Houdini, which resulted in the horrifying death of Dr. Sasume Oshiro. Could also count as a case of Gone Horribly Wrong.
- The Extremist Was Right: It’s actually not a bad thing that Khan won.
- Fantastic Racism: There were tensions between Augments and unmodified humans, especially among those who were conceived after the release of the Ascension Flu and those who were born the day before or earlier, during the early 21st century.
- Augmented Humanity almost develop an anti-alien sentiment due to their war against the Nausicaans and the Vulcans' unwillingness to help the Augments. Fortunately it didn't happen thanks to the Augments becoming allies with the Orion Syndicate.
- Fatal Method Acting: In-universe. In a spin off of Game of Thrones, Robert's Rebellion, an Augmented actor who played Robert Baratheon killed off the (regular human) actor who played Rhaegar Targaryen during a sword fight that turned real mainly due to having cast the former girlfriend in the role of Robert's betrothed, Lyanna Stark, which caused so much tensions and jealously on the set. This incident set an unwritten rule that Augmented actors would only ever engage in fight scenes with other, Augmented actors.
- For Want Of A Nail: Khan wins the Eugenics Wars, and humanity becomes Augmented.
- Going Native: The Vulcans fear this of Mestral after having lived among humans for over a century. Indeed, Mestral has been using more human phrases and becoming more expressive of his emotions. Ultimately, the Vulcan High Command effectively exiled Mestral to Earth mainly to keep him away from spreading his views to their people, especially among the younger Vulcans.
- Hermit Guru: Following the end of the Augmentation War, Khan lives in a palace on top of the Himalayas. He allows everyone to come and visit him, if they can brave the climb.
- Hero-Worshipper: All of Augmented humanity feel this way toward Khan Noonien Singh, who they feel is practically the father of their kind.
- So much so that in the 2036 US election, one candidate lost the election to a land slide victory simply for insulting Khan.
- Further compounding this fact, is that his death in 2090 actually resulted in a massive Stock Market Crash.
- History Repeats: With the three decades before First Contact, monarchism, communism, and even fascism make a bold resurgence as humanity becomes more interconnected and ideas are allowed to spread. The later itself is allowed to have a resurgence because much of humanity had forgotten the lessons of the Holocaust. An angry Khan Noonian Singh is quick to remind them, putting an end to the movement.
- In Spite of a Nail: A few things still happen despite changes to the timeline:
- There is still an escape from Earth at the end of the Eugenics Wars on the Botany Bay, only this time it’s a group of Human World Leaders who managed to as of yet not get infected by the Ascension Flu.
- Zefram Cochrane still invents and participates the first ever Warp Flight, leading to Humanity’s First Contact with the Vulcans.
- Landslide Election: The Augment candidate’s John Grissom complete landslide victory over the non-Augmented candidate, Mike Willinger, in the 2036 US Presidential Election, winning every single electoral vote and State.
- Legacy Vessel Naming: The opposite of this trope. Unlike in canon Star Trek, there is only one USS Enterprise - the ship flown by Zefram Cochrane on his first Warp Flight. No other ship is named Enterprise after it.
- MegaCorp: Zefram Cochrane used his money earned from his warp drive technology to found his own business Cochrane Industries, which becomes the market leader for human warp drives.
- Mythology Gag:
- The memorable phrase "to boldly go where no man has gone before" is repeatedly comes up.
- William Starling reminiscence how his father Henry Starling believed going into space would be the future.
- An American intelligence report mentions about the Enterprise Incident of 1986.
- Transporters are treated with fear and disdain by humanity in which they are seen as suicide booths.
- New Era Speech: Khan's "We are not alone" speech following humanity's First Contact with the Vulcans.
- Older Than They Look: Augments age much slower than normal humans. They maintain their youthful appearance into their eighties before they would begin to visibly age.
- Real Award, Fictional Character: Zefram Cochrane was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for inventing the warp drive and leading to First Contact. He also earned the rare Hero of the Directorate Award personally given by Khan himself.
- Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right!: Mestral decide to give humanity a data drive containing information on stardrive technology after the Vulcan High Command has no interest in helping humanity.
- Space Elevator: The Indian Ocean Elevation Platform, the world's first operational space elevator built in 2037. Space elevators subsequently replace rockets as the preferred means of ferrying cargo to and from orbit, with their upper platforms becoming the first starports and hubs of commerce and interplanetary traffic.
- Space-Filling Empire: Earth is split into three power blocs: the Eurasian Union led by Khan, the Transatlantic Organization (T.A.O.), and the African Union.
- Take That!: Fox News suffered the "lowest points in the history of the news network" for broadcasting the theory that the U.S. President (who was missing during the midst of the Augmentation War) fled to space on a rocket ship from Area 51 at the end of the war.
- Technophobia: Almost the entirety of Augmented Humanity toward Transporters after the traumatizing death of Dr. Sasume Oshiro. They are only ever use micro-transporters to refine dilithium or other such small tasks.
- The War of Earthly Aggression: The colony on Mars rebels against Earth and its Superpowers in the 2050's. They are eventually defeated, but not before countless Augmented Human lives are lost.
- Time Abyss: Kind of this for the Vulcan Mestral, who’s been on Earth since 1957 and has witness the rise of the Augments and humanity’s First Contact with the Vulcans.
- Wham Line: "Oh, oh god...he's - he's gone. The Director is gone! Khan Noonien Singh is dead!"
- World War III: The Augmentation War, known in canon as the Eugenics Wars, is also referred to as the Third World War.
