"Alone, dirty, tired. Having survived one galactic war only to be hunted by the men she led. Can one young Jedi find safety in a land populated by Witches and Demons?”

Jedi of the Isles is a crossover between The Owl House and Star Wars written by Helljumper206, that explores how things would have played out if Luz had been a Jedi Padawan during Order 66 when she stumbles across the Boiling Isles.

Jedi of the Isles provides examples of:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: Wrecker laughs at Tech's put-off reaction when Eda calls him a nerd.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: While Luz had a lot of hidden angst in canon, having suffered from a horrifying combination of Kids Are Cruel and Adults Are Useless, with the corresponding Friendless Background and I Just Want to Have Friends attitude that comes with it, here she’s a Jedi Padawan who in addition to being somewhat of an outcast among the Order had lost her Master during the First Battle of Geonosis, spent years adrift having to teach herself while fighting in the Clone Wars before eventually getting assigned to Master Luminara Unduli following Barriss Offee’s betrayal and arrest only to watch her die during Order 66, which Luz only survived by hiding in the shadowlands of Kashyyyk before eventually finding refuge with Eda and King in the Boiling Isles.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: Rather than being a regular if somewhat strange Earth girl, here Luz is a Jedi Padawan, specifically an aspiring Jedi Sentinel (Jedi who preferred a life of service working directly with the everyday citizens rather than staying in the Temple) and a survivor of Order 66.
  • Adaptational Badass: Luz, being a Jedi Padawan who fought in the Clone Wars is a far cry from where her canon counterpart was at at the start, with her Force powers, lightsaber skills, military experience and athletic abilities making her a very dangerous opponent even before she starts learning magic, especially since in addition to her lightsaber, she also comes equipped with a DC-15 blaster, and several grenades, both of the EMP and thermal variety.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Vee debuts in the Season 1 finale when she and the other basilisks turn out to be imprisoned in the Conformatorium.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • Downplayed but Luz manages to win over Amity a little sooner than in the source material, with the two of them on their way to being friends following the Covention, and on top of that they both start to develop feelings for each other much sooner then in Canon (especially with regards to Luz), with the first hints popping up during the fic’s version of ‘’Lost in Language’’.
    • Luz is much less tolerant of the Blight twins' antics and thus has a more strained relationship with them as a result, especially when they reveal their plan to reveal the contents of Amity's diary to all of Hexside.
  • Adapted Out:
    • On account of Luz being raised in the Jedi Order, Camila has absolutely no role in the story, aside from being a blurry memory from Luz's past.
    • The events of "Once Upon a Swap", "Sense and Insensitivity" and "Really Small Problems" are cut.
  • Alien Arts Are Appreciated: While on the Isles, Luz who as stated several times is a Jedi and thus has never been to Earth before, still becomes a fan of the Good Witch Azura series, and thanks to a PDA (a smart phone by the features listed) Eda gave her has also come to enjoy listening to Johnny Cash.
  • Aliens Speaking English: Apparently Galactic Basic is functionally the same as English, as shown with how Luz who here is from the Star Wars Galaxy has no problem communicating with the denizens of the Demon Realm, who in canon follow this trope themselves regarding Earth.
  • Amazon Chaser: Though it only starts making itself known once her emotional barriers were torn to shreds Luz starts to gain feelings for Amity after she sees just how powerful and skilled she is during their duel, even after learning that she was unintentionally cheating by way of a Construction Coven power glyph.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: As in canon, this is Amity’s reason for falling for Luz, only here it stems from her refusal to out Amity for unintentionally cheating during their duel through the use of a Construction Coven power glyph that Lilith placed on her, and then reinforced when Luz prevented Edric and Emira from posting the pages of her diary all around Hexside.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious, the mastermind behind Order 66, and Emperor Belos, the tyrant ruling the Boiling Isles, both have their own agendas and are completely separate threats, with Belos being the more immediate and Sidious being the more dangerous.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Luz and Amity have their First Kiss right after Lilith splits the curse with Eda, where Amity engages it due to her emotional state from Luz declaring war on the Boiling Isles in order to rescue Eda.
  • Call-Back:
    • There are a few occasions when Luz remembers the bombing of the Jedi Temple and Ahsoka's trial.
    • After meeting Luz, Eda and King, Omega explains to them how she met the Bad Batch, learned about their inhibitor chips and how Rex helped remove them.
    • In Chapter 14, Luz briefly remembers being informed of the Empire destroying the cloning facilities on Kamino and Tipoca City by Omega, which happened a week before in this story. She was also informed of The Bad Batch rescuing Gregor, clones being phased out and replaced with Stormtroopers, Hunter getting captured and the team surviving the bombardment of Tipoca City as it sunk into the sea.
  • The Cameo: Obi-Wan Kenobi appears a few times throughout the story via his warning message which Luz discovers stored on a Holocron she manages to recover. He also makes appearances in Chapter 12 with the Jedi Council and Chapter 13 alongside his former padawan in flashbacks about Luz's past during the Clone Wars.
    • "Chapter 9: Now You're a Criminal" features appearances by Darth Vader and Lord Sidious.
    • “Chapter 12: Right With It” features appearances by Rivi-Anu and the following members of the Jedi Council in a flashback: Grandmaster Yoda, Mace Windu, Ki-Adi Mundi, Kit Fisto and Luminara Unduli. There’s also the appearance of a young Cal Kestis at the end of the chapter.
    • “Chapter 13: Men in the Jungle” features an appearance by Anakin Skywalker in a flashback.
    • “Chapter 14: A State of Mind” features appearances by Tera Sinube and Saesee Tiin in Luz's memories of the past.
    • “Chapter 17: Eviction” features an appearance by Shaak Ti in a flashback of Luz's past after the Battle of Kamino.
    • “Chapter 18: Retaliations” features an appearance by a young Kendal Ozzel (the Imperial Admiral that was force choked by Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back) as a Captain in command of the three Venators that were seen at the end of the last chapter.
  • Catapult Nightmare: Luz has one at the start of chapter 2, about Order 66 before she realized that her first adventure in the Demon Realm actually happened.
  • Cliffhanger: Chapter 14 ends with Willow and Amity encountering two inner versions of Luz: one that represents their friend and the other repressing her darker emotions.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: In contrast to the typical green and blue of most Jedi, the blade of Luz’s primary lightsaber is bright yellow, matching the color of her signature light spell and likely symbolizing that by learning magic in the Isles she is destined to become a very different kind of Jedi.
    • In Chapter 14, Tera Sinube tells Luz in one of her memories that her name means “Light” on her home planet and the Kyber Crystal in her lightsaber is a reflection of what she is: “a shining beacon of the Force.”
    • Amity and Willow encounter two Inner Luz's at the end of Chapter 14: one with a white light aura surrounding her and another with a dark apperance that absorbs the light around her. The former represents the Light Side of the Force in Luz while the latter represents the The Dark Side buried deep within her.
    • In Chapter 15, Dark Luz's Jar'Kai lightsaber’s colors are violet which were used by Force users who shared an affinity with both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.
  • Crush Blush: This is Luz and Amity we are dealing with, so this trope is a given with Amity’s first case occurring when Luz compliments her right after their duel and Luz's first case occurring when she sees Amity smiling for the first time after witnessing her read to the kids at the library.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Luz vs the guards of the Conformatorium. The guards never stood a chance.
    • In Chapter 21: "War Call", it's Luz' clone troopers vs. the Emperor's Coven in two assaults on the Emperor’s Castle and Conformatorium.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: The duel between Luz and Amity is this in Luz’s favor, with Amity quickly coming to realize once the fight was over that Luz as an Outside-Genre Foe with her Force powers and lightsaber skills could have killed her anytime she wanted, especially sense Luz actually knew what she was up against going in having had a few weeks to learn about magic while Amity went in absolutely blind and thus was completely caught off guard by Luz’s abilities. The only things preventing this from being a straight up Curb-Stomp Battle is the fact that Luz didn’t want to hurt Amity and thus was holding back while Amity herself was unwittingly cheating with a Construction Coven power glyph courtesy of Lilith, which when combined with her own budding Force powers enabled her to land a few really good lasting hits herself, enough to seriously impress Luz.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Despite being a Jedi, at the end of the day Luz is still Luz, and thus she can’t help but go into Cuteness Overload when she first meets King, just as she did in Canon, just without the spanish.
  • Death by Adaptation: Luz in a moment of weakness ends up decapitating Tibbles the instant she sees that he had captured, muzzled, and enslaved King.
  • Death of a Child: As to be expected with Order 66, but it’s seeing the results of this first hand that convinces Eda that the Galactic Empire is a much bigger threat then Belos and the Emperor’s Coven could ever be.
  • Death World: Naturally everything in the Boiling Isles from the wildlife, to the weather, to some of the inhabitants is trying to kill you, however in a darkly ironic twist, Luz being a Jedi means that it is actually a safer place for her to live then in her own Galaxy now that the Sith have taken over, a fact that terrifies Eda too no end.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: Played With as it takes a bit of a heart to heart afterwards and then some time to actually get to know each other before they could actually call each other friends, but Luz’s first positive experience with Amity is a direct result of beating her in a witches duel, which ultimately results in the two gaining feelings for each other.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Lilith leaves Luz a blood-covered mess after capturing her in the Emperor's castle and doesn't come to see how bad this makes her look until Eda arrives to rescue her apprentice.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: In canon Luminara Unduli was arrested and executed by the Empire. Here she was gunned down by the clones while fighting alongside them and Luz during the Battle of Kashyyyk.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: The first five chapters lack the Title Sequence that all following chapters have had.
  • The Empath: As part of the typical skillet of the Jedi, Luz naturally has this ability, which notably enables her to effortlessly pick up and help correct Amity’s initial Jerkass Façade.
  • Epic Fail:
    • During her first attempt at using a lightsaber, Amity accidentally holds it upside down when it activates, causing it to stab the floor and ignite a fire.
    • King's attempt at beginning to learn how to wield a lightsaber has him land face first on a training saber due to overexcitement.
  • Eviler than Thou: Though the two are unlikely to meet, Darth Sidious proves to be this to Emperor Belos before the story even starts, as Eda notes that Order 66 is something that is a level of evil that even Belos wouldn’t be capable of.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Upon seeing the massacure of the Jedi Agriculture farm on Telos IV, Eda comes to realize that this applies to the Emperor’s Coven back in the Demon Realm as mass genocide, particuaraly the wanton slaughter of children is something that even Belos is incapable of.
  • Feed It a Bomb: Luz does this to Amity’s Construction Coven power glyph enhanced Abominations twice during their duel once using a regular thermal detonator, and once with an ion grenade, as a test to see if EMPs work on Abominations. They do.
  • Foil: Belos and Sidious, surve as this to each other as part of the Big Bad Ensemble, they are both evil elderly Emporers who perfer to operate from the shadows but prove to be extremely powerful in combat and are desprite to find ways to prolong their own lives, yet contrast each other in various ways with Belos having been in power for half a century and being a Light Is Not Good Well-Intentioned Extremist Dark Messiah with some standards, while Sidious has only just taken the throne and is a Dark Is Evil Satanic Archetype who is literally just evil for the sake of evil.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Luz’s status, abilities, and mindset as a Jedi cause a number of events to play out differently, like not falling for Adegast’s scheme, visiting Hexside as a prospective transfer student rather than as Willow’s “abomination project”, immediately getting accepted into the school instead of initially being forbidden, as well as winning her duel with Amity, and winning over Amity herself much sooner than her canon counterpart.
    • The first big change as a result of this trope, is Luz’s first Moonlight Conjuring where the moon magic when combined with Luz’s Force Powers enabled her to communicate with the Titan, exactly like Belos claims to do. And since the Owl House never became a mobile home, Eda and King never escaped from Tibbles forcing Luz to go rescue them the next morning.
    • Luz is allowed to choose her track on her first day attending Hexside and selects Beast Keeping. After she and the troublemakers defeat the Greater Basilisk, Luz decides to return to said track instead of studying everything at once wanting to learn all types of magic at her own pace before she branches out.
    • In Chapter 13, Luz, Eda, King, Willow, and Gus skip the carnival in favor of going on a rescue mission to find Quinlan Vos on Kashyyyk and Amity accompanies them. During this time, Amity admits why she broke off her friendship with Willow and the two begin anew an episode early.
    • In Chapter 14, Luz's memories are destroyed instead of Willow's, Boscha is the one to cause it and Amity and Willow are the ones who need to repair the damage to Luz's mind while also witnessing memories of her past during and before the Clone Wars.
    • In Chapter 16, Luz is chosen to be Grom Queen instead of Amity and the two girls start their relationship much earlier than in Season 2, planning to take things one day at a time.
    • In Chapter 19, Luz, after avoiding all of Boscha's pranks towards her, challenges her to a one-on-one witch's duel instead of a grudgby match in Willow's defense, which Luz wins. Luz also learns after the duel that Boscha has unrequited feelings for Amity.
  • Fun with Acronyms: Just like the source material, the first letter of each episode name spells out a message. In this case, it's "Jedi no longer matter now."
  • Hero of Another Story:
    • Heroes in this case for Chapter 10. It features Clone Force 99 aka The Bad Batch (Hunter, Echo, Wrecker, Tech and Omega) who at this point in the Star Wars timeline have become mercenaries working for Cid after deserting and escaping from the Empire. They are hired by Luz to free the clones that were under her command from their Inhibitor Chips after learning about them thanks to Omega.
    • Chapter 13 features Quinlan Vos, a Maverick of the Jedi Order that survived Order 66 and lived through the reign of the Empire. Luz manages to find him on Kashyyyk with the help of Eda, King, Amity, Willow and Gus. He makes appearances later in Chapters 15 and 16.
  • Hold Your Hippogriffs: Being from the Star Wars Galaxy Luz has a tendency to use Star Wars versions of traditional Earth phrases, which is often used to cover up instances of her swearing.
    • In Chapter 15, Light and Dark Luz both swear in Mando'a, which was taught to regular Luz by the clones as a way to vent her frustrations.
  • Incompletely Trained: Thanks to having lost two Masters during her time as a Padawan, one as a casualty of war during the First Battle of Geonosis and the other as a victim of Order 66, Luz never actually never actually managed to complete the trials necessary to achieve the rank of Jedi Knight prior to arriving in the Demon Realm. Complicating matters is the fact that due to the Clone Wars she actually spent a few years without a formal teacher, and thus had to train herself.
  • In Spite of a Nail: While many things do change as a result of Luz being a Jedi in this rendition of the story, many things in do still play out as they did in Canon, even if many of the details have changed, like how Willow still ends up switching to the Plant Track after impressing Bump with Luz’s “greasy slimeball”, Luz and Amity still wind up having a duel at the Covention after the latter insults King, and the Blight twins are still responsible for turning Otabin the Bookmaker into a monster.
  • Internal Reveal:
    • In Chapter 10, Luz learns how Order 66 happened and about the clones' inhibitor chips from Omega.
    • In Chapter 13, Amity, Willow and Gus learn about Luz's full history as a Jedi Padawan, the Clone Wars and Order 66.
  • Irony:
    • As stated above, despite being a Death World, the Boiling Isles is actually a safer place for Luz to live than just about anywhere in her own Galaxy now that the Galactic Empire has risen up and have begun hunting Jedi.
    • Luz quickly gains a strong disliking towards Abominations, considering them to be little more than a disgusting mockery of life, yet still gains a crush on Amity who specializes in Abomination magic.
  • Jerkass Façade: Just like in canon Amity starts out with this, which Luz naturally picks up on very quickly.
  • Karma Houdini: Boscha ends up getting away unpunished for destroying Luz's memories despite the clones who worked with Luz investigating what happened.
  • Magic Knight: Though technically only a Padawan, Luz’s magic lessons mean she’s well on her way to becoming even more or one then the Jedi already are.
  • Mind over Matter: Since this story deals with both Jedi and witches, this trope is a given with a number of characters demonstrating various types of telekinesis, from the more general "move any nearby object" to the more specialized water bending-esque sub-ability of Abomination magic.
  • Mythology Gag: The omake "Motherly Instinct" at the end of Chapter 11 is based off MoringMark's comic, "The Owl Beast Broods".
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Everyone knows Luz for the happy, friendly kid who loves to learn about anything she puts her mind to. To see her with practically no light in her eyes is a heartbreaking sight, even to Cid.
    • If Willow and Amity (who are known friends-turned-enemies) both agree on something needing to be done in a high-stakes situation, it's impossible to talk them out of doing it.
  • Outside-Genre Foe: Luz as a Jedi is this to most of her adversaries in the Boiling Isles who have never encountered the Force or those who use it before.
  • Plot-Driven Breakdown: Despite of the nature of the story Earth, and presumably Gravesfield, Connecticut is still where Eda’s portal normally leads with the crossover aspect plot being a result of it malfunctioning for a short while, which ultimately leads to the discovery that if done properly the portal can take people to just about anywhere they wish to go, so long as that location in in another realm.
  • Psychic Link: Luz eventually forms one with the Titan, exactly as Belos claims to have done, enabling her to gain extensive amounts of information about her environment (read: the Isles as a whole), based on her emotions and desires simply by opening her self up to the force.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Luz’s initial reaction to Amity having just seen her bully Willow was “What. A. Jerk.”
  • The Purge: Like always Order 66, which Luz manages to escape by stumbling across the Boiling Isles. The situation is so bad and the villain behind it so evil that it actually scares Eda so much that the rule hating wild witch outright forbids Luz form ever going back unless the reason for doing so is important enough to justify the risk.
  • Relationship Upgrade: Downplayed in Chapter 16: Luz figures out Amity has feelings for her through the Force, but the girls don't engage in a romantic relationship because Luz doesn't know how to deal with emotions such as love. Because of this, Amity agrees to take things slow.
  • Rescue Arc: Chapter 7: “Leave No Witch”, serves as one, as due to Tibbles’ stand never getting crushed Luz has to free King from the pig and both Owlbert and Owl Beast Eda from the Emperor’s Coven.
  • The Reveal:
    • Belos knows about the Jedi.
    • Amity is Force Sensitive.
    • Luz has known Cid ever since she was a kid.
    • Luz participated in the Battle of Coruscant and witnessed the Invisible Hand crash landing onto the planet’s surface.
    • Darth Vader knows who Luz is.
    • Belos' staff is a custom red lightsaber.
  • A Scar to Remember: Amity accidentally burns Luz during their witch's duel, leaving her right hand scarred. It's later subverted when the Healing Hat heals Luz's injuries.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: As in canon Luz pulls this on Eda and King when she sees the Bat Queen’s baby duplicate itself twice.
  • Seeing Through Another's Eyes: After forming a Psychic Link, together Luz is able to do this with the Titan, and saince the Titan is the Isles, this enables her to see everything around her when she opens herself up to the Force.
  • Ship Tease: As to be expected, this quickly starts to occur between Luz and Amity.
  • Shout-Out: After Luz's first Beast Keeping class, her teacher gives her a hippogriff egg to care for as a makeup assignment.
  • Sore Loser: Lilith, bitter at her student Amity being defeated in a duel in spite of cheating on Amity’s behalf, and especially at having lost to Eda’s own student tries to confiscate Luz’s lightsaber on the pretext that it is too dangerous for a child to possess despite the masterful skill Luz demonstrated with it.
  • Title Sequence: Despite being a written story every chapter from 6 onwards has had one after a scort cold open set to Escape (Beat Saber soundtrack trailer), with visuals inspired by the Owl House’s opening with some Star Wars elements thrown in.
  • Tragic Keepsake:
    • Luz’s second Lightsaber once belonged to Jedi Master Luminara Unduli, who entrusted it to her while on her deathbed during Order 66. She later gains another one from a young female Rodian she watches die on Telos IV.
    • In “Chapter 9: Now You're a Criminal”, Luz acquires the lightsabers of the Jedi that died during Order 66 after preventing them from being publicly incinerated by Mas Amedda at the Jedi Temple with the help of Eda and King, storing them in the basement of The Owl House. Master Yoda's and Aayla Secura's lightsabers are among the collection.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Chapter 6 “Oh Great Conjure”, the story's version of “Hooty's Moving Hassle”. Rather then animating the Owl House, Luz’s first Moonlight Conjuring results in Luz communing with the Titan via a Psychic Link, overwhelming her with emotions to the point of completely destroying the emotional barriers that her Jedi training had given her allowing them to run free within her mind, to top things off since Luz, Willow and Gus never inadvertently crushed Tibbles’ scam stand, Eda and King fail to return from the night market.
    • Chapter 9 “Now You're a Criminal” has Luz, Eda and King secretly raid the Jedi Temple and prevent the lightsabers of the Jedi that were killed during Order 66 from being publicly incinerated by Mas Amedda. However, this gains the attention of the Sith and Vader makes it his mission to find the culprits.
    • Chapter 10 "Getting Back, Taking a Stand": Luz, Eda and King team up with The Bad Batch to free the Brave Rifles clone regiment, the clones that Luz led during the Clone Wars, from their inhibitor chips on Qiilura and officially start a secret clone rebellion.
    • Chapter 14 “A State of Mind” and Chapter 15 “Troubled Thoughts”, this story's two part version of "Understanding Willow": Amity and Willow both enter Luz's mind to fix her memories after Boscha destroys them. While in there, the two girls witness memories of Luz's life before and during the Clone Wars. They also discover two Inner Luz's: one representing the Light Side within her and the other representing the darkness of her. Amity manages to get the two inner guardians to become one after convincing them that they’re both parts of Luz that shouldn’t be divided. After that, she and Willow fix and witness the memory of what happened to Luz during Order 66 when the clones turned on her and killed Luminara Unduli during the Battle of Kashyyyk.
    • Chapter 16 "The Fear Of", this story's version of "Enchanting Grom Fright": Luz and Amity both confess their feelings for each other during Grom and become girlfriends much earlier than in Season 2 of The Owl House.
    • Chapter 17 "Eviction": Luz and the Brave Rifles clone regiment start their rebellion against the Empire by successfully taking control of their former base on Qiilura along with the fleet surrounding the planet and imprisoning Major Creed Rushton along with the rest of the TK Troopers and imperial staff stationed there. A few days later, they have already built their own base in the Demon Realm on a neighboring island far from the Titan of the Boiling Isles. The chapter ends with Captain Drake and the rest of the First Regiment arriving on Qiilura from Hyperspace...with three Venators.
    • Chapter 18 "Retaliations": Luz and the Brave Rifles clone regiment successfully fend off the fleet of three Venators led by Captain Kendal Ozzle, free Captain Drake and the rest of the regiment that were stationed on Kashyyyk and evacuate the base with their fleet to the Demon Realm via an enlarged portal door thanks to Eda creating a growth potion. However at the end, Darth Vader investigates the vacant base on Qiilura and discovers that Luz was the one responsible for the events that transpired on the planet thanks to security footage of her speech in the last chapter, with him even revealing his familiarity with her.
    • Chapter 20 "Of Witches and Jedi", this story’s version of “Agony of a Witch: Luz is successful in stealing the Healing Hat from the Emperor’s Castle with the help of Amity, Willow, and Gus. However, Eda still gets captured by Lilith and the clones are seen by Belos and his coven for the first time.
    • Chapter 21 "War Call", this story's version of “Young Blood, Old Souls”: Luz, King, and the Brave Rifles clone regiment launch a raid and an assault on the Conformatorium and Emperor’s Coven both to save Eda after she was captured by Lilith in the previous chapter and show retaliation against Belos, rescue Vee and other basilisks from the prison's dungeon, Eda reveals that the Healing Hat is out of magic, and Luz engages Belos in a duel with him revealing that his staff is a custom red lightsaber, meaning that he’s either a Sith Lord or Fallen Jedi. Luz and Amity also share their first kiss at the end of the chapter.
  • Wham Line:
    • “A Jedi on the Boiling Isles? Well, now...things will be a lot more intriguing around the Titan.” Emperor Belos revealing his familiarity with the Jedi, something which no one else in the Demon Realm has shown any knowledge of.
    • “So it is you…Luz Noceda.” Darth Vader revealing that he knows who Luz is at the end of Chapter 18: “Retaliations”.
  • Wham Shot:
    • Foreshadowing Belos’s Wham Line, Luz discovering a Jedi Holocron in Warden Wrath’s collection of contraband.
    • Amity managing to open said Holocron. thus confirming herself to be Force Sensitive.
    • In Chapter 21: "War Call", when Luz and Belos fight for the first time, his staff transforms itself before a RED blade comes out from the top, revealing it to be a lightsaber.
  • Wizards Duel: just like in canon one occurs between Luz and Amity, only this time Luz is able to win without needing Eda to cheat on her behalf and Lilith cheating on Amity’s ends up being a secret that Luz is willing to keep.
  • Worthy Opponent: Though both Defeat Means Friendship, and Amazon Chaser is in affect, Luz and Amity’s first encounter after their duel have them demonstrating thus attitude towards each other, to the absolute shock of Boscha and especially Willow who notes that Amity was showing Luz a level of respect that she normally reserves for teachers.
  • Wrong Context Magic: Luz’s abilities as a Jedi come across as this to the denizens of the Boiling Isles who with the exception of Emperor Belos has never had any experience with the Force, let alone the Jedi, though Amity makes it clear that the people of the Boiling Isles can be Force Sensitive, with the implication that they simply never noticed on account of already having magic.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: Luz gives this kind of pep talk to Amity following their duel telling her that if the Emperor’s Coven can’t see how talented and strong Amity is then they aren't worth her time and do not deserve her.
  • You Owe Me: After defeating Boscha in their witch's duel, Luz states Boscha will uphold this after confirming that the potionist burned her memories.
