is a humourous Kill la Kill fanfic set by pictureswithboxes that feature the Kiryuuins as being " not completely happy, but no one's made out of life fibers."
Tropes for Highly Questionable Decisions:
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Ryuuko with her antics and, to lesser extent, Nui is this to Satsuki.
- Blind Without 'Em: Subverted. While she does need glasses, Satsuki can function sans them. However, she's mentioned to be driving, so one would have to ask as how she managed to pass a driver's test.
- Brutal Honesty: Satsuki tries to be this with Ryuuko but the latter just shrugs it off
- Children Are Innocent: A ten-year old Nui, who acts like any kid that age.
- Chronic Pet Killer: Nui's goldfish usually die, however, this might be invoked, given that a conversation between her parents mentioned one of them sneaking chemicals into the water.
- Excrement Statement: The "poop in the mailbox" incident
- Good Parents: Ragyou and Soichiro try to be but they verge on Parents as People, with Ryuuko's antics being exacerbating.
- Hot-Blooded: Ryuuko, again, and she has a penchant for picking fights, often landing her in detention.
- Jerkass: Ryuuko really acts like this, with her pranks, getting into fights, and antagonizing Satsuki or Nui
- The Nicknamer: Ryuuko, again. Nonon is also, true to canon
- Noodle Incident: There are several
- There was the time with classroom blowing up in middle school and "the Xiao-Long fire" and apparently Satsuki had something to do with those incidents, according to Ryuuko.
- There was the last time Mako held fireworks for RyuukoRyuuko: Nah, she can’t hold fireworks… Not after last time.
- Various other thingsRagyou: No mindless destruction of public or private property, no pretending to be public officials. No calling Nicaragua, no adopting rabid animals. And absolutely no sneaking into the morgue and touching cadavers! No digging up corpses of any dead things to prove to Nui that they’re actually dead! Grandpa and Professor Ratigan are dead!
- There was also the fact that there was an incident where Ryuuko's mini-bike that ended up with Ragyou sending it to the junk yard. The incident is surmised by Satsuki saying, “You tried to drive it to-“
- Another incident was the fact that Ryuuko had Houka and Satsuki make bombs
- No Indoor Voice: Gamagoori, true to canon
- Replacement Goldfish: A rather literal example with Nui's goldfish in that they were replaced, until about a certain point.
- Shout-Out: With this fic being described as "Kill la Kill meets Malcolm in the Middle", fittingly so we have Nui's goldfish dying and the fact that she wants a dog.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Soichiro is scared of dogs, which is part of the reason why Nui can't have a dog.
Tropes for Absolute Idiot:
- Cloud Cuckoolander: After taking Ryuuko's advice, Satsuki does sound like this
- The Stoner: Subverted. Satsuki didn't consume any drugs, however, after she turns off her brain, she behaves like one. The others around her initially thought she was on drugs.
- Self-Induced Allergic Reaction: When Satsuki eats peanut butter, at Ryuuko's suggestion after she turned off her brain, and is brought to the hospital for anaphylactic shock
- What Could Possibly Go Wrong?: Satsuki asks something like this before eating something with peanuts in it
- You Are Grounded!: Ragyou says this as she drives her daughters home from the hospital.
