In Hell's Kitchen, The Defenders are planning their next move against The Hand. While in one universe they take the fight to the Hand right away, here it plays out a little different.
The day before they invade Midland Circle to save the city, Matt and Jessica end up in a one-night stand. The Defenders defeat The Hand and Daredevil sacrifices his life to make sure the New York sees another day. Afterwards, Jessica discovers that she is pregnant.
Nine months later, she has a boy and names him Peter.

- Adaptational Backstory Change: While canon!Peter's powers came to him in his teens after being bitten by a spider, here he was born with them, both of his parents being Differently Powered Individuals.
- Addiction Displacement: When Jessica quite her drinking after finding out about that she was pregnant, she replaced it with unsweet tea.
- All Amazons Want Hercules: Jessica claims that she would have respected Matt more on their first meeting if he was more assertive and stating that he was her attorney instead of fishing for her approval.
- Dead Guy Junior: Jessica makes "Matthew" Peter's middle name, unaware that his father was still alive.
- Distinction Without a Difference: Matt thinks he isn't a "Super" in-spite of having Super-Senses because he doesn't have Super-Strength or a Healing Factor like the rest of the Defenders.

- Unlike in canon, Jessica and Matt wound up having a one-night stand before the Defenders go to Midland Circle.
- Unlike in Daredevil Season 3, here Matt visits Jessica, this being when he finds out about his son.
- While Peter Parker would be in his teens during the events of Daredevil Season 3, Jessica Jones Season 2 and The Defenders, here he was conceived during the events of The Defenders.
- While Matt doesn't reconnect with any of his allies outside of Foggy and Karen in Daredevil Season 3, here he visits Jessica, this being how he finds out about Peter.
- Forgets to Eat: When Jessica hears from Matt how in-tune with his body he is, she mentions how she would forget to eat no matter how much her stomach would growl.
- Goo-Goo-Godlike: Due to his Superpowerful Genetics, Peter has all of the powers his counterpart had gotten in his teens at birth. While this means he's more intellectually developed for a baby his age, having an awareness of his surroundings more advanced that he should, it also means he has Spider-Sense, making him a rather fussy baby. It's not until Matt was able to anticipate his heart-rate when he was being vaccinated did he and Jessica begin to realize this. It still took Foggy pointing out that a three-month-old infant shouldn't be capable of ripping a zipper off a leather jacket for the parents to fully acknowledge that their baby has superpowers.
- Good Girls Avoid Abortion: When offered the option of abortion, Jessica declines immediately. She goes over the list of reasons to do it (no father to be there for it, her own personal issues, her tendency to invite danger) before letting her panic settle down and list the number of reasons to keep it, one being that Matt (who she thought was dead at the time) would likely want to keep it. She ultimately decides to keep it, though claims Matt’s speculated wishes on the matter are not the main reason.
- Instant Birth: Just Add Labor!: By the time Jessica gets to the hospital, it was already too late to do the epidural despite calling Trish when her water breaks and getting her to the hospital in record time.
- Mythology Gag: Jessica once sarcastically calls Matt "Batman", the character Daredevil having once been played by Ben Affleck in the film adaptation, before Affleck went on to play Batman in the DC Extended Universe.
- Never Gets Drunk: While Jessica can get drunk, her tolerance is so high that she only drinks the strongest possible alcohol, comparing its strength to gasoline.Matt: That's definitely not the good stuff.
Jessica: Exactly. The bad stuff tastes like gasoline. Which means it's effective. So, therefore, it's the good stuff. - One Drink Will Kill the Baby: Subverted and discussed. While Peter is born perfectly fine, Jessica grows concerned about him since she drank the usual amount the first few weeks into her pregnancy (the usual amount for her being enough to make her pass out). At first she attributes his fussiness to this, but as she and Matt spend more time around him, they start suspecting that it might be because of something entirely different.
- One-Night-Stand Pregnancy: The plot is kicked off when Jessica finds out that she's pregnant after she and Matt have sex the night before they make their move into Midland Circle.
- Related in the Adaptation: While Peter Parker from the MCU is entirely unrelated to Daredevil and Jessica Jones, here he is their illegitimate child.
- Someone to Remember Him By: With Matt's supposed death at Midland Circle, Jessica thinks she's doing this when she decides to keep Peter. It isn't until after he's born does she find out that Matt survived.
- Too Dumb to Live: Jessica summarizes Matt as "the epitome of I'm deathly smart, but I also have the common sense of a baked ham."
