- And There Was Much Rejoicing: The Manson parents don't even try to hide their joy over the Fentons leaving for a year.
- Dramatic Irony: Both Danny and Peter have secret identities. No one In-Universe knows the truth about both of them.
- Hero with Bad Publicity: As in canon, Phantom has an unsavory reputation despite genuine heroics. For instance, Jack and Maddie believe that he's commanding the Wraiths instead of fighting them.
- Hive Queen: Phantom is assumed to be commanding the Wraiths in this manner.
- Mugging the Monster: A mugger tries to rob Danny on his way home. He's lucky that Spider-Man found him before Danny could figure out which of his many powers he needed to use.
- Spit Take: When Tucker answers the door at Fenton Works and sees that it's Tony Stark, he spits his soda all over the billionaire.
