Set many years into the future on an Alternate Universe version of Earth, this Darker and Edgier take on Equestria starts with a certain draconequus breaking free from his stone prison. Quickly forcing Celestia into making a deal with him to save her ponies — and making sure one of the terms is that she forgets the deal even existed in the first place — he also ensures the summoning of the one person the God of Chaos truly despised, as part of a ploy to finally bring his long-term plan to fruition, and gain the ultimate revenge on the one who ruined it all those many years ago.

From here, we follow our poor Deadpan Snarker protagonist through various adventures and slice-of-life tales, as he attempts to determine his purpose in the world, discover exactly what happened to the rest of his species, figure out just how the being known as "Discord" factors into everything, and proves to everyone just what a human can do when he sets out to achieve a goal...
