Child of the Eclipse
is a Life Is Strange 2 fanfic. It serves as an alternate version of Episode 4, told from Daniel's point of view as he becomes integrated into Haven Point, eventually learning his destiny to save the world.

This fic contains examples of:
- Adaptational Jerkass: Lisbeth was already a Hate Sink and cult leader in canon, but she never directly killed anyone- the only death was an indirect result of her promoting her faith healing, and she does try to kill the Diaz family but fails. In here, she is a monster rivaling Mark Jefferson and Damon Merrick, as she deliberately wipes out all her followers (save Daniel) with her ritual.
- Big Bad: In the first half, Lisbeth Fischer reprises her role from Episode 4 as the leader of the Haven Point cult who, in this fic, engineers a mass murder/suicide and tries to kill Daniel. Afterwards, the story has no sentient antagonist- the main threat becomes the asteroid heading towards Earth.
- The Chosen One: Daniel learns that he has been given the powers needed to save the planet from the asteroid.
- The End of the World as We Know It: The asteroid that is heading towards Earth threatens to destroy all humanity. Daniel's role is to stop it.
- Halfway Plot Switch: The first half of the story concerns Daniel's experiences with Haven Point, as in the game. The second half goes into a completely new territory as he learns of the true nature of his powers and that he must use them to save the world.
- It's All My Fault: Daniel, upon waking up, blames himself for letting his powers go out of control in Merrill's hideout. He compares it to his dad getting shot for the same reason, an event he also blames himself for.
- Murder-Suicide: Lisbeth's ritual is this on a large scale- she provokes Daniel's powers and kills everyone in the church except herself. She then tries to stab Daniel, planning to off herself afterwards.
- Sinister Minister: Lisbeth, as in canon, is the leader of the Haven Point cult who exploits her followers, though in this fic she has the added crime of killing them all via Murder-Suicide ritual.
- Would Hurt a Child: Lisbeth and Nicholas are willing to stab and shoot at Daniel, and their ritual results in the death of Sarah as well.
- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Lisbeth, after using Daniel to slaughter all her followers, prepares to kill Daniel herself, outright admitting she never cared about him:Frankly, child, you were wicked from the moment I saw you. You were never going to get into Heaven like the true believers. But even Judas had a purpose in God’s plan - as it is with you.
