Blue-Green Eyes is a Final Fantasy VII / Ranma ½ crossover by Rippen Drakuzz. The series which started in 2003 can be found here. Unfortunately, it seems to have died, with the most recent chapter being posted Oct 25, 2005.

Ranma has arrived from China with his son Ranma. He's a most impressive looking young man, but he seems totally withdrawn, more like a robot, not talking at all and always looking at the ground. Most of the family just write him off, but Kasumi takes to the quiet young man. He may never talk, but she enjoys having him around. Until one day Kasumi and Ranma are intercepted by a bunch of thugs, and Ranma's mind finally breaks free...

Blue-Green Eyes provides examples of:

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Played with Professor Hojo tried to turn Ranma into an unfeeling machine but wasn’t able to get rid of his emotions.
  • Age-Inappropriate Dress: Aeris noted that despite being in her forties Tifa still dresses the same.
  • Angst Coma: Ranma’s banishment from Nibelheim drove him into a nearly vegetative state.
    • He almost returned to it after being kicked out of the Tendo Dojo.
  • Ax-Crazy:
    • Akane starts out the story irrationally attacking the catatonic Ranma for no reason other then the fact that Nabiki had angrily walked away from him after finding out about his condition. From there she just gets worse and worse to the point where she ends up blindly attacking Kasumi in a fit of rage.
    • During Project GEHW Ranma became emotionally unstable going from oblivious to furious in a couple of seconds with no reason whatsoever and had to put back into suspended animation.
  • Bad Liar: Played with when Ranma explained to Hinako why he was running away he omitted to mention any names but he was so thorough in his explanation that she was able to figure out who was involved. That and she was well aware of Akane’s temper problem and bad habits.
  • Batman Gambit: When Cologne tracked down Ranma she planned to subtly give him the idea that while he was taken as a slave in the village it was actually to protect him from his worthless father. Unfortunately Hinako and Aeris proved to be a Spanner in the Works.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Cloud Strife and the rest of AVALANCE rescuing Ranma from Hojo.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Nabiki finally did this when he tried to pull a My Way or the Highway upon finding out that she was helping Ranma. Calling him out for using her and Kasumi as his personal servants. Forcing them to give up their wants and dreams to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads while focus all his attention on spoiling Akane.
Nabiki: You want to know what happened today? Do you?! The boy you're trying to punish for something that didn't happen fought off a monster at school. If it weren't for him I'd be dead right now, together with close to twenty other people. You want me to respect you? Do the right thing for once and apologize to him. Akane is full of it. Things didn't happen the way she...
Soun: [slapping Nabiki] Go to your room. You'll stay there until you tell me what I want to know AND you apologize to your sister.
    Nabiki: No.
  • Cassandra Truth: Nabiki trying to tell everyone that Akane was the one who attacked Kasumi not Ranma. Unfortunately since Kasumi was trying to keep the peace no one believed her going so far as to claim that he was manipulating her.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Hojo submerged Ranma’s mind in pain to aid in mind wiping him.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Ranma to the Black Dragon gang members.
Nabiki: One of them is in a coma. The others were severely injured. The only reason Ranma-kun isn't in jail is because the witnesses said it was clear self defense and that asshole was wanted for rape.
  • Cyborg: Ranma is this as his brain tissue was replaced with nanomachines allowing him to learn things rapidly as well as prevent his neural tissues from deteriorating.
  • Determinator: The six year old Ranma who was fatally injured from the Neko-ken was the only subject to survive Professor Hiro’s experiment through nothing more than sheer will.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: During one of the morning battles one of Akane’s admirers managed to tag her on her shoulder with a sloppy kick. Akane gave him a sound beating and broke his arm when he was begging for her to stop.
  • Entitled Bastard: Since Genma arrived and Akane was trained by both masters of the Anything Goes School of Martial Arts he was recovering more and more of his old self. Unfortunately he ended up becoming this. Instead of making a move to support the family they now had a bigger weight on their shoulders Soun spent all the money Nabiki made on training equipment for Akane, while the little that remained went to feed Genma. He was actually always this which eventually caused Nabiki Calling the Old Man Out when he demanded the respect he was due from her.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Even Genma and Soun would never strike a defenseless woman.
    • After Kasumi finally told the truth of what happened seeing his eldest daughter cry since his wife died cut through any anger he could have, leaving him depressed and angry at himself.
    • Genma described himself as greedy to the point of being as evil as the master he feared but seeing the sweetest girl he'd ever known cry, and knowing he was the cause, hit even him hard.
  • Exact Words: Ranma in his catatonic state does this when given a command. When Kasumi asked him to follow her she walked in a circle to test this.
  • Gone Horribly Right:
    • The neko-ken is supposedly an invincible technique that has to be taught to an infant under ten years old. The training consists of tying the boy or girl in fish sausage and throwing him or her into a pit full of starving cats. However the truth is that the neko-ken is a torture method designed to destroy the child both physically and mentally. Only the strongest survive, which is the objective of the procedure. It is for this reason that Hojo chose Ranma as his test subject.
    • Genma’s presence actually made Soun more and more like his old self. At first Nabiki and Kasumi were glad for the change, but quickly realized that he had just become an Entitled Bastard.
  • Guilt Complex: As noticed by Nabiki both Kasumi and Ranma try to make sure that other’s aren't hurt and end up blaming themselves for others' doing.
  • Healing Factor: Ranma was able to regrow both his arm and eyes after becoming Hojo’s subject.
  • Hidden in Plain Sight: This is the entire purpose of Project GEHW which is why Hojo gathered and digitalized all the information on Sephiroth's fighting style with the katana within Ranma. As well as made an exact replica of Sephiroth's sword to create the illusion that whenever Ranma uses a materia-based ability it would be because of the sword.
  • Insane Troll Logic:
    • After seeing Nabiki angrily walk away from the catatonic Ranma, Akana attacked him in a fit of rage as his lack of response to her demand to know what he did to her sister was like a written confession in her book.
    • The fact she was able to beat up a catatonic man made her feel safe that her position as heir was secured.
  • Insult Backfire: Happosai calling Ranma a horrible martial artist was meant with indifference. Happosai was so shocked by this that he forgot about the pissed off Aeris.
  • It's All About Me: After Hinako was cured allowing her to stay in her adult form Akane became jealous when the mob stopped attacking and turned their heads to stare at the voluptuous teacher as she made her way into the building.
  • The Juggernaut:
    • Even after taking a pair of brass knuckles to the face Ranma utterly decimated the Black Dragons.
    • Played with if caught unaware Ranma can be sent flying but the fact that he is Nigh-Invulnerability means that his attacker is most likely to hurt then he is.
  • Knight Templar: Ranma will deliver harsh justice to evil going so far as to wipe nearly half of Midgard off the map. It is this mentality that eventually got him banished.
  • The Mind Is a Plaything of the Body: Hojo noted that while all of his previous subjects have been stronger physically than Ranma he was the only one to survive getting him to realize that a strong will is stronger than an impervious body.
  • Nanomachines: Ranma’s Neuronal tissue were replaced with these by Hojo, the reason being that Neuronal tissue doesn't regenerate, so even if the subject could live for an undetermined amount of time it would eventually be brain-dead even if the body was in perfect condition.
  • Never My Fault: Due to Genma’s influence Akane Might Makes Right mentality has risen up to eleven to the point of being I Reject Your Reality.
  • No Sympathy: After a while Nabiki got tired of Kasumi’s Guilt Complex and demanded that she tell the truth as is was causing nothing more than pain and misery for everyone involved.
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy: It didn't matter just how revealing the dress was Ranma would at the most raise an eyebrow and tell Hinako it made her look fine.
  • Oh, Crap!: One of the Black Dragon members upon looking into Ranma’s eyes knew that he was about to be on the receiving end of a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown.
  • Older Than They Look: Because of Hojo’s experiment Ranma appears physically older than he actually is.
  • Only Sane Man: After calming down Nabiki was the only one in the family to realize that if Ranma had attacked Kasumi she would be dead. This could also be considered a deconstruction as after a while of dealing with Kasumi’s Guilt Complex combined with Soun, Genma’s selfishness and Akane’s It's All About Me attitude she eventually gave them all "The Reason You Suck" Speech.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: We are first introduced to the Black Dragons when they tried to rape Kasumi. This brought Ranma out of his catatonic state so that he could deliver a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on them for attempting such a thing.
  • Skewed Priorities: While Genma didn't like the idea of Soun reprimanding Nabiki so harshly he didn’t stop him as he was more focused on curring favor with Akane.
  • Secret-Keeper: Nabiki not revealing that Akane was the one who attacked Kasumi.
  • Single-Issue Psychology: The author explains Akane’s Ax-Crazy personality as coming from the fact that she's had her every delusion fueled for months by Genma, who is trying to be in good terms with her and Soun.
Nabiki: Her little sister was smart, but Genma was teaching her to do the thinking with her fists instead of her brain.
  • Spanner in the Works: Ranma was this to Hojo’s plan’s as the fact that he was such a Determinator allowed him to retain at least some of his memories.
  • Spoiled Brat: After being transferred to Furinkan Hinako was warned that she would be fired if she tried to discipline Kuno.
  • Spotting the Thread: Nabiki realized that Ranma couldn’t have attacked Kasumi after finding crushed shuriken.
  • Super-Strength: The pack Ranma carries as if it was nothing bends the floorboard with its immense weight. Cologne describes him as strong as a dozen men.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Ranma’s Blue Green Eyes are the result of him being connected to the Lifestream.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Played with when Ranma enters battle mode his normally calm and open demeanor becomes emotionless and cold in an instant.
  • Trauma-Induced Amnesia:
    • Ranma doesn’t remember what Hojo did to him because of this.
    • Averted with the neko ken; Hojo erased his memories of it.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Aeris rarely, if ever, stops smiling so Ranma knew something was up when she spoke to him in a dead serious voice.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: This was why Cologne warned Shampoo not to fight Ranma if he was back to his senses when she found him. Unfortunately Shampoo ignored this warning.
    • Played with while Ranma isn’t a martial artist he does know how to fight though he is more competent with a sword then barehanded.
  • Unstoppable Rage: Ranma in his battle mode.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Nabiki eventually gives Kasumi a "The Reason You Suck" Speech for keeping the fact that Akane attacked her a secret.
Nabiki: My hands are tied, remember? You made me promise not to tell daddy the truth of what happened in the dojo.
    Kasumi: Isn't there another way?
Nabiki: Maybe. But it would be only a temporary solution. You can't expect to solve this mess with more lies.
    Kasumi: Nabiki-chan! I never lied.
Nabiki: Your silence was even worse than lying. Face it, sis. By not clearing the whole mess you're responsible for daddy's actions. If he gets himself killed over this it'll be all your fault.
