Fanfic / All For Luz Reaction

Go To

The multiverse is a frightening concept we know very little about. Where, many different universes have endless alternate versions of themselves. However, what happens when two different universes share the same alternate universe?

And what if a mysterious being can show these different universes such a bizarre universe?

All For Luz Reaction, a.ka. Reacting to "All For Luz" is a fanfic off the The Owl House and My Hero Academia crossover All For Luz, written by Endstray. The premise is a "Let's Watch Our Show" Plot where during the Season 2 finale; a powerful inter-dimensional entity named Enderverse has brought Luz, the residents of the Owl House, the Hexsquad, Camila Noceda, The Collector and Emperor Belos to watch the story in a cinema in his dimension and learn more about the Alternate Universe. Not only that, but a certain supervillain is brought along, too.

It can be found on Archive of Our Own here and Wattpad here.

This fanfic contains examples of:

  • Affectionate Nickname: Enderverse tells his guests they can call him "Ender" or "Endy" for short if they so wished.
  • Alternate Universe Fic: The All For Luz is an Alternate Universe to the cast and part of The Multiverse.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Enderverse has violet skin.
  • Aura Vision: All For One notices the main difference between his Power Parasite Quirk and Alternate Universe Luz's is that the latter has this in the form of seeing black strings above the heads of other superhumans that are invisible to others in her field of vision. Shigaraki on the other hand can merely sense them nearby him.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: All For One notes to himself that even if he managed to survive his encounter with All Might in their Final Battle and kill him, One For All will die along with him.
  • Captain Obvious: The Collector realizes that Luz is the main character of the Alternate Universe story as her name is in the title... much to the amusement and annoyance of those around them.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Emperor Belos plans to form a partnership with All For One, use his Power Parasite Quirk to rid the rest of the world of superpowers, before killing him in the end.
  • Crush Blush: Hunter has one for Willow, but will deny it.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: All For One easily figures that Hunter has this involving his Evil Uncle.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: Subverted. Enderverse offers Emperor Belos a hand to get up after giving him a Jump Scare, he accepts begrudgingly accepts it to not appear rude to his much more powerful host.
  • Egocentrically Religious: Emperor Belos believes he'll be rewarded heaven for ensuring all magic creatures and Quirk users would die from the flames of God's holy judgment.
  • Elemental Powers: Luz wished she got this as a Quirk, seeing it as closest she'll get to having real magic.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite his Fantastic Racism, Emperor Belos is unsettled by the idea governments in All For One's world seems to have brainwashed the public into believing training teenagers to be superheroes as a good thing. He compares them to being coerced into the military as Child Soldiers, without realizing what it truly means to be on the battlefield.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Luz is appalled to find out about Bakugo bullying Izuku, and can't understand how they're still friends.
  • Evil Laugh: All For One does this quite a bit, creeping everyone else out.
  • Eviler than Thou: Enderverse warns The Collector that All For One is much worse than Emperor Belos. The Emperor in question also regards the Quirk user to be a dangerous threat not to be taken lightly.
  • Fantastic Racism: Emperor Belos sees Quirks as the work of The Devil and can't help but smirk as sees that superhumans are going to be oppressed in the story. He would also be happy if superhumans and the supernatural all killed each other.
  • Faux Affably Evil: All For One acts polite and kind towards The Owl House cast, but they already suspect he's someone not to be trusted and should interact with as little as possible.
  • Freaky Is Cool: Eda reacts with shock and excitement that the Alternate Universe they're watching has humans gaining superpowers.
  • Full-Circle Revolution: Emperor Belos sees Quirkless people oppressing those with Quirks to being the ones oppressed by those with Quirks as this in All For One's world over generations.
  • Go-Karting with Bowser: The Owl House good guys watch the theatre and eat dinner alongside Emperor Belos, the same guy that was trying to kill them all and their loved ones just moments before during the Day of Unity, as the villain lampshades in his thoughts.
  • Great Big Library of Everything: Downplayed. Enderverse's library isn't that big. However, it contains a lot of information on The Multiverse, including the ones the cast belong to.
  • Growling Gut: King has this not long after he says he's hungry, much to The Collector's amusement.
  • Hates Being Alone: In The Collector's POV, before going through Enderverse's portal to The Void, they state to themselves that even if it was a trap, at least they would have company this time.
  • History Repeats: All For One correctly guesses that its only a matter of time before Quirk users riot against the Quirkless, as the governments and civilians alike discriminate against and oppress those gifted with superpowers.
  • It Amused Me: It appears this is Enderverse's motivation for setting up the plot, something All For One has figured out on his own.
  • Jump Scare: Enderverse does this successfully on Belos, to All For One's and Eda's amusement.
  • Killing Intent: All For One displays something similar without even realising he's doing it, his mere presence provoking a fear into those around him.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: All For One suspects Enderverse will do this to him after the Reaction is over.
  • Last-Second Word Swap: Enderverse does this twice in his inner monologue in the first chapter.
After all, many fellow interdimensional beings have kidn-borrowed guests from the multiverse. Forci-I mean, offering the opportunity to react to the past and future.
  • "Let's Watch Our Show" Plot: The very premise of the fic for an Alternate Universe.
  • Luminescent Blush: Camila has this when she tries some of Eda's Apple Blood, remarking it tastes good.
  • Magical Library: Enderverse has one of these in his dimension.
  • Mama Bear:
    • Eda admits she would've brought Luz to the hospital too if she found holes in her hands like Alternate Universe Camila did.
    • Camila apparently has more than one phase of this.
  • Mr. Exposition: Being the only one from his world, All For One acts as to The Owl House cast about Quirks.
  • The Multiverse: Enderverse explains to his guests that their entire universe has a parallel universe that can be either or both similar and different. Not only that but while one path may be chosen in the main universe, sub-universes branch off of it based on any and all decisions and events that could've gone differently. In some cases, two or more universes end up connecting for one reason or another and wind up sharing the same sub-universe, like in All For Luz.
  • Mythology Gag: Gus notices some the kids with Quirks had gills, just like he thought humans had in the show. He mutters that they're lucky.
  • No Mouth: Enderverse is mouthless, yet somehow is able to speak.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Hunter remarks that the government in the All For Luz world will try to control or destroy the superhumans, and it's what Emperor Belos would do if he was in charge on Earth
  • Obviously Evil: Before Luz even learns about All For One being a villain, she regards him as someone to be untrustworthy and, if she could, would have as little interaction with him as possible.
  • Papa Wolf: All For One notes if he was Camilla in the Alternate Universe, he would be hiding Luz away in the house or skip town together, maybe leaving the entire State to escape the government. It would provide protection the girl for a short period before hiding her Quirk became impossible.
  • Power Nullifier: Emperor Belos can't use his magic and All For One can't use his Quirks in The Void respectively thanks to Enderverse's powers. Being Brought Down to Normal forcing them to comply with watching the theatre.
  • Profanity Police: Camila in Almighty Mom mode warns Luz not to use foul language, stating to her daughter that she taught her better manners than that.
  • The Promise: Luz remembers her promise to her mother to stay in the Human Realm permanently. Camila is having second thoughts about her keeping it.
  • Properly Paranoid: Hunter views All For One with great distrust before he learns he's a supervillain.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Enderverse wears a purple cloak is a a powerful entity.
  • Rebellious Spirit: Eda calls out to Luz to never trust the government.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: All For One's crimson eyes sends shivers down Luz's spine, noting it feels like he's staring through you as though you were nothing.
  • Required Secondary Powers: Discussed. Camila wonders how one can use Fire Breath without burning their mouth. All For One explains that Quirks tend to alter the body to make itself useable while ensuring that the owner of the body won't suffer harm from using it. For example, a fire-based Quirk will make the user's body more tolerant of fire over time. However, he also points that this always the case for all Quirks, as some are just too powerful for the body to handle, even with support gear to aid them.
  • Recursive Fanfiction: To All For Luz.
  • Satanic Archetype: Emperor Belos sees Shigaraki with his Power Parasite Quirk as nothing short of the Devil incarnate. He's not exactly wrong.
  • Seen It All: Eda didn't seeing the harm in Luz bringing live snakes for her book report project could pose at her school. Its a reasonable response, considering that the Owl Lady has done much worse than that when she was her age attending Hexside Academy.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Luz and Hunter's first thought about All For One is that he wears a fancy suit.
  • She's Not My Girlfriend: Hunter will deny he has a crush on Willow.
  • Ship Teasing: Between Willow and Hunter.
  • Shout-Out: When Enderverse realizes that he forgot to add bathrooms and bedrooms for his guests in his theatre, he decides that "This is fine".
  • Stepford Smiler: All For One is the Unstable version. The Collector makes note that his seemingly friendly smile he had, did not match the look in his eyes. Luz also feels uneasy around man because he does this.
  • Sunk Cost Fallacy: All For One notes if I managed to survive his encounter with All Might and kill him, One For All will die with him. While doing so means nothing can threaten his power and position, that defeated the purpose of reclaiming his brother's Quirk: his goal, ever since he realized his brother lived on through that power.
  • Sympathy for the Hero: All For One notes he almost pities Alternate Universe Luz, as she has no idea how bad things were going by being a first-generation Quirk user and was about to experience to the cruelties and hardships of Fantastic Racism.
  • Take That!: When Eda says you can't trust public healthcare if it isn't free, Camila agrees wholeheartedly.
  • Time Master: Enderverse can "pause" people and their environment.
  • Trapped in Another World: None of the cast can leave The Void until the end of the story.
  • Villain Has a Point: All For One scoffs at Camila's expectations of sending Luz to Reality Check Camp working out for the better. He notes all that would accomplish from her approach was driving a wedge in her with her relationship with her daughter. He believes it was more likely that by the end of the camp, the mother would only gain a more rebellious daughter or Luz would turn out a completely different person, unrecognizable from who she was before. Considering what happens...
  • Villain Takes an Interest: All For One is most fascinated by what possibilities Alternate Universe Luz will do with his Power Parasite Quirk, believing her to be on the road to greatness with it.
  • Villainous Breakdown: All For One was going through when he was about to killed by a half-dead All Might fearing that he was going to die, until Enderverse brings him to his theatre.
  • What Kind of Lame Power Is Heart, Anyway?: All For One explains to The Owl House cast that some Quirks can be useless or even detrimental to the user.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Eda mentally reprimands Camila for sending to Luz to Reality Check Camp, seeing it as an place no different from the Conformatorium.
  • Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: All For One at one point muses by killing All Might and Izuku, thus destroying One For All, means almost nothing can threaten his power and position. However, that defeats the purpose of what he'd worked so hard towards for the past century: Reclaiming his brother's Quirk and his vestige.
