Epic Fail examples in Family Guy.
- In "If I'm Dyin' I'm Lying" Peter threatens to go on a hunger strike. Most people could predict he'd fail but nobody could predict how badly he'd fail:Peter: [after being on a hunger strike for all of five seconds] You gonna eat that stapler?
- In "Wasted Talent", Death ends up getting drunk on the job. He tries to drive drunk...only to plow into a police car.
- In "North By North Quahog", Peter apparently once forgot how to sit down.
- Peter's attempt at directing a No Budget drama movie in "Chick Cancer": The final product is less than a minute long; the title "Steel Vaginas" is a vulgar rip-off of Steel Magnolias; the special effects are laughable, such as Joe's wheelchair being replaced with pixelated legs to make him look like he's walking; and the plot makes no sense whatsoever.
- "Road to the North Pole" has Stewie and Brian take over Santa's toy delivery after discovering the nightmarish conditions of his Workshop and him. They don't even make it past their first house. They end up forgetting the presents when they go down the chimney, lock themselves out trying to get them, breaking a window to get back in. The homeowner hears them and tries to call the cops, forcing Stewie to bash him in the head (possibly to death) with a baseball bat meant as a present for a "Johnny". As if that wasn't bad enough, they get noticed by a little girl and her mother, forcing them to clobber the mother as well and tie up the girl. Brian and Stewie blow through more time cleaning up all the blood, and when Brian tries to give the baseball bat to Johnny, they find he's not there... because they were in the wrong house altogether. Stewie rightfully calls this a disaster as he and Brian flee the scenenote .Brian: We're just leaving like this? What about not wanting to ruin Christmas?
Stewie: It's already ruined! This was ONE! HOUSE! We've been here for an hour and a half! An hour and a— First of all, we're not even Santa anymore. This has been a home invasion. But an HOUR AND A HALF, Brian! It's gonna be light in six hours, and we have to deliver to the whole rest of the world! There's TWO apartment buildings on this block alone!
Brian: No wonder Santa lost his mind! This is ridiculous! We can't do this!
Stewie: NOBODY CAN! IT'S INHUMAN! - In "Peter Problems", Peter is promoted to a forklift operator and gets fired for negligence when he crashes into a boardroom meeting. Now stuck at home, he tries to prepare dinner, then ends up putting three raw Cornish game hens at the table, and when he realizes his mistake he finds that he somehow put Chris in the oven, put Stewie in the freezer, and decapitated Meg and put her head in the microwave, which then explodes in a splatter of gore. They're all perfectly fine later.
- In "Lottery Fever", the Griffins end up losing their lottery money... twice.Peter: Holy shit! We won twice, and we're right back here again!
