This series has more than its fair share of characters who definitely deserve their time in the spotlight.

  • Shasa from Evolution has received adoration from the fanbase for being the first active female blader in the show, and for being a mix of a Cool Big Sis, Deadpan Snarker, and Nice Girl; especially in comparison to her more Jerkass teammates in BC Sol. This only increased during her battles with Valt in #12 and later Free in #38, to the point where the fanbase agrees that she needs her own unique bey as opposed to an unnamed generic Bey that minor characters use.note
  • Melos and Kakeru Nekota were two random opponents that occasionally show up who happen to look alike. They have started to gain a notable fandom on certain social media platforms, despite being one time opponents for Daigo and Lui.
  • While Ken became Demoted to Extra in the middle of the arc and was consistently Out of Focus for the first half of season one, he's very popular on both sides of the ocean, and his brief, yet effective Character Development earned him more fans. Shockingly, he got demoted even further in season two, with many wishing for his return to battle in the International Blader's Cup. While he wasn't featured in the 2018 character popularity poll, he did place 14th in the 2020 poll, which is quite impressive for a character who only had a few scenes of screen time in Evolution
    • Keru and Besu, Ken's puppets, are also loved by the fanbase. Harm them as Shu did in Evolution, and everyone will riot for the culprit's blood.
  • Ghasem Madal is quite popular due to the fact he only showed up a few times in season 2, as well as having a sympathetic backstory.
  • Although he was Out of Focus for most of season 2, Daigo is also well-loved for being a Dark Is Not Evil Cool Big Bro, Perky Goth, and Nice Guy all rolled into one. He's also had some of the best Character Development out of all the main cast, and this is further cemented in his battle with Black Eye.
    • To add to this, he placed 4th on the 2018 characters poll(behind Valt, Free and Shu, respectively), and as well as 5th in the 2020 poll in Japan . That's right, he's ranked higher than other popular characters like Lui and Xander.
  • Fubuki Sumiye has started to gain some popularity, mainly for succeeding Valt as the leader of the Bey Club, and with the knowledge that he was mentored by Shu Kurenai. It's even to the point where some fans believe that Fubuki should've been the main protagonist of Turbo instead of Aiger.
  • The deer that Free befriends in the forest of Spain has only been seen a number of times throughout the series, but is much loved by the fanbase.
  • Norman Tarver had only appeared in a few episodes, but is much loved by the fanbase. Fans love him for his stoic personality and mysterious vibes; and most even ship him with Theodore.
  • Due to his split personality, Suoh Genji is rather popular, despite being Demoted to Extra later on in the series. He ranked 6th in the 2018 character popularity poll, making him the most popular character in Turbo (just beating Phi).
  • Phi's younger brother, Hyde received tons of love from fans because of his fun personality and goofy behavior at the time of his introduction in the series. And as a rather humorous Take That! to his brother, Hyde placed 10th in the 2020 poll, beating out Phi by only three votes!
  • Boa gained a sizeable fanbase because of his Determinator personality, and for being the only non-antagonistic Snake Pit Blader. Most fans tend to ship him with Shu/Red Eye. He's also popular In-Universe with a group of children.
  • Zac's older brother, Count Nightfell was originally a manga-exclusive character. After he became an anime character, he's gotten tons of love from fans. It also helps that he pays homage to The Phantom of the Opera.
  • Despite never being heavily featured, Silver Eye managed to get his share of fans. Some fans call for him to get more screentime, while others love the Fanon personality fanfiction writers give him.
  • Kristina has been Out of Focus since season 3, but is one of the most beloved characters in the show, as shown be her managing to snag 9th place in the 2020 poll; highly admirable for a non-blading character.
  • The announcement of a prominent female Blader appearing in DB has immediately brought hype surrounding her. Needless to say, once Ilya Mao was revealed with her fun personality and unique design, she didn't disappoint.
