General
- Whenever a line of dialogue is "snarled", "sneered", or "snapped", take a sip. Take another if it is done by one of the protagonists.
- Whenever someone "sniggers", take a shot. If it's not a villain, take another shot.
- Whenever Rhymey says something, take a sip for every rhyming couplet he throws out.
- Take two sips if he rhymes off someone else's dialogue.
- Take another if you can't figure out how it's supposed to rhyme, or if he has to mangle grammar to make it rhyme.
- If he resorts to rhyming a word with itself, make it a full shot.
- Each time Dyno and Myte say something in Spanish, take a sip.
- If you speak Spanish and notice that they're butchering the language, take another sip.
- Every time someone is introduced by their ID code, take a sip.
- When a villain laughs, take a sip.
- Every time the Big Bad berates a minion, take a sip.
- Every time a character from FiM canon gets berated by an OC, take a sip.
- Every time an OC rolls their eyes at a character from FiM, take a sip. Take another if the character on the receiving end is Pinkie Pie or Rarity.
- Each time the story tries to claim how much better the Space Ponies are compared to Equestrian ponies, take a sip.
- If you notice a scene, character, attack or whatever being ripped wholesale from another work, take a sip.
- Take two if it's ripped off from Power Rangers. Make it a sip and a half if it rips off Digimon.
- If it's an entire plotline that's being recycled, make it a shot. Your liver may die from Season 8.
- Suicidal rule: Take a sip every time you see an ellipsis, and a second if it's immediately followed by an exclamation point. (Also applicable to Dakari-King Mykan's other fics.)
- When you get to the end of a chapter that turned out to be nothing but Padding, empty your glass.
- Whenever a song pops up, drink until it's done. If you decided to skip it, empty your glass instead.
- Whenever a clip from FiM shows up, take a sip. Take another if it's a line of dialogue that a canon character just said in-story. Take one more if said line is so generic that it could have been said by virtually anyone in any scenario.
- Whenever two characters have their dialogue written in the same paragraph, take a sip.
- Every time the text is capitalized, italicized, and/or boldfaced, just to be absolutely sure the reader gets it, take a sip.
- If a scene exists solely to "torture" the MLP cast, take a shot. Two if it's Princess Cadence.
Fight Scenes
- When the Monster of the Week shows up, take a sip.
- Take a sip every time someone calls an attack. Make it as small as possible; inebriation will quickly ensue regardless.
- If a hero's attack gets no-selled, take a sip. If it was a Finishing Move, take another sip.
- Whenever the Uniforce is used, take a shot. If it gets no-selled, take another shot.
- Whenever the heroes decide to all attack at once, take a sip. If that doesn't work, take another sip.
- Take a sip everytime Lightning shouts "Scatter!"
- Every time something (or someone) explodes, take a sip.
- Take a shot if a character gets hit with an attack that kicks up a cloud of dust or smoke. Take another if whoever that character was fighting displays shock at how their attack did nothing.
- If Grand Ruler decides to get off his ass and actually do something, take a shot.
- If the Grand Celestial Ruler shows up, take two shots.
- If a villain says something along the lines of "You Have No Chance to Survive", take a sip.
- When the heroes are saved in the nick of time, take a sip.
- If the heroes obtain a new power in the middle of the fight that allows them to turn the tables and come out on top, take a shot.
- Whenever an onomatopoeia shows up in the narration, take a sip.
- Each time "hard" or "good" is used to describe an attack (e.g. "hit them hard", "blasted them good"), take a sip.
- If the word doesn't make sense in context (e.g. "destroyed hard"), take another sip.
- When the Monster of the Week is captured, take a sip. Take two if it's destroyed instead.
- Take a shot if one of the major henchmen dies. Take two if they're captured.
- If a protagonist dies in a fight, finish your drink. If that protagonist was a character from FiM canon, drink another glass after raising it in memory of that character. (Use your better judgment when tackling the season 4 finale; TV Tropes will not be held responsible for liver failure.)
