"Here stork, have a drink to the new baby!"
Drinking games for the Looney Tunes cartoons and characters.

    open/close all folders

    General
  • Take a shot every time Carl Stalling or Milt Franklyn makes a pun in the music score (e.g. "A Cup of Coffee, A Sandwich and You" plays in a food related scene)
    • Take a shot each time he uses a Raymond Scott song (e.g. "Powerhouse").
    • Take a sip when he whips out a classical music snippet.
  • Take a shot each time a celebrity caricature appears on screen. Down the whole jug if its a cartoon with nothing but celebrity caricatures (e.g. "Hollywood Steps Out").
  • Take a shot every time someone claims that “now they’ve seen everything” and blows their brains out on screen.
    • And take another if it’s the last gag of the cartoon.
  • Take a shot whenever a character is apparently killed off in one cartoon but you know they are alive and well in a later cartoon.
    • Take two shots if the earlier 'toon shows the character in the hereafter.
  • Take a shot whenever two or more of a cat's lives appear together (but slow down during "Satan's Waitin'").
  • If you see a Merrie Melodies Blue Ribbon title card, take a drink.
  • Take a sip whenever you see Recycled Animation. Take a big drink if the cartoon is a Clip Show or was directed by Friz Freleng. Make sure to have an ambulance on standby, and avoid any cartoon in the late 1962-1964 and DePatie-Freleng eras.
  • Drink whenever someone says "Ah, shaddap!"
  • Whenever a character is seen drunk, take a sip. If you value your life, don't watch any of the cartoons starring the Drunk Stork.
  • If someone turns into a "sucker" lollipop or jackass, drink.
  • If a character swears, finish your drink.

    Bugs Bunny and his Adversaries
  • Take a shot every time he says "What's up, doc?"
    • Take a sip if he says a variation of the line (e.g. "What's up, pruneface?")
  • Take a shot every time there's a Hair/Hare (or Herr/Hare) related pun in the title of his cartoons.
  • Take a sip whenever he crunches a carrot.
  • Take a shot whenever he crossdresses.
  • Take a shot whenever Elmer Fudd says "Be vewy qwiet, I'm hunting wabbits."
  • Finish your drink if Elmer is not voiced by Arthur Q. Bryan on any cartoon up to "Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Bunny".
  • Take a shot every time Yosemite Sam says "Whoa!"
  • Take a sip whenever Yosemite Sam abuses an animal.
    • You can also do the same every time Rocky beats up Mugsy for a foolish act.
  • In "Big House Bunny", drink every time Yosemite Sam is yelled at by the warden.
  • In "Backwoods Bunny", drink whenever Pappy gets shot by Elvis because someone says a variation of "four".
  • Drink if anyone says "The Tasmanian's Devil on the loose!"
  • Finish your drink if Bugs loses at the end of the cartoon, even if his opponent also loses.

    Daffy Duck
  • Take a shot every time he says "Woo hoo!" Have an ambulance on the dial when watching his pre-1948 shorts (especially his ones from the thirties) and/or New Looney Tunes.
  • Take a sip every time he mentions his desire to be as rich as possible.
  • Take a shot whenever he says "You're despicable!"
    • Take a big sip if he says "Sufferin' succotash!"

  • Take a shot whenever Foghorn utters a creative insult.

    Porky Pig
  • Take a shot every time he says "That's all, folks!"
  • Take a shot every time he stutters. Take caution on any cartoon where Porky is voiced by Joe Dougherty.

    Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote
  • Take a sip whenever the Road Runner says "Beep beep!".
  • Take a sip whenever the coyote screams.
  • Take a sip whenever there's a Canis Latinicus scientific name.
    • Take two shots if the short gives the genuine scientific names.
  • Take three shots whenever there's a view of the ground upon which the Coyote is going to fall.
  • Take a shot for every explosion you see. To double it up, also take a shot if the coyote gets smashed by a boulder.
  • In the Rudy Larriva directed cartoons, take a drink if the Road Runner harms the coyote without beeping.

    Those Wacky Nazis
  • Take a shot whenever a Nazi speaks falsches Deutsch.
  • In Daffy the Commando, take a sip whenever someone yells "SCHULZ!"
  • Take a celebratory shot whenever Hitler gets humiliated (but slow down during Russian Rhapsody).
  • In Herr Meets Hare, take a sip whenever Göring's weight is mentioned.

     Tweety and Sylvester
  • One shot whenever Tweety says, "I tawt I taw a puddy tat!" And another for, "I did, I did, I did tee a puddy tat!"
  • One shot whenever Sylvester says, "Sufferin' succotash!"
  • Take a lowball glass whenever Sylvester faces off with Hippety Hopper (the kangaroo he forever mistakes for a mouse).
    • Finish your drink if Sylvester is not paired against Tweety, Speedy, a bulldog, or Hippety Hopper.

     Speedy Gonzales
  • Take a shot every time Speedy yells "Yeehaw!", "Ándale!", or "Arriba!" Yes, separate shots for each word (so if he yeehaws twice, that's two shots). If you value your life, it's easier to do it on the Seven Arts cartoons, but that's likely not your desire anyways.
  • Take a big drink when he is pitted against Daffy Duck.
    • Finish your drink if neither Sylvester or Daffy appears in the cartoon.
  • Take a drink whenever Slowpoke Rodriguez appears.

     Miscellaneous
  • On any Pepé Le Pew cartoon, drink whenever people runs off from Pepé's bad scent.
  • Here are some decent spots to drink whenever something repetitive occurs in the cartoon, although we don't recommend you use alcohol for these:
    • On "A Day at the Zoo", take a shot whenever Egghead/proto-Elmer says that he is a bad boy for taunting a lion.
    • In "Of Fox and Hounds", take a shot when Willoughby jumps off the cliff.
    • On any Beaky Buzzard cartoon, drink whenever Beaky says no.
    • Take a shot every time you see or hear "Sucker!" on "From Hand to Mouse".
    • Take a drink every time the Supreme Cat gets a punishment from the bulldog in "It's Hummer Time" or "Early to Bet".
    • Take a shot when Michigan J. Frog sings on "One Froggy Evening".
    • On "A Waggily Tale", drink everytime Junior says "Alright, mama."
    • Whenever Mr. Beetle (the pink-colored guy) appears in "Now Hear This", drink.
  • Take a shot whenever the title song is mentioned by any of the characters on any Harman-Ising era cartoon from the early 1930s.
  • Take a shot whenever a Hanna-Barbera Stock Sound Effect gets used improperly in a late 1960s-era Seven Arts cartoon (like if something crashes or breaks with the same "smash against wall" sound.)
  • If the cartoon is directed by Robert McKimson, drink every time someone says "Sheesh!"
  • If the cartoon is directed by Bob Clampett, drink if the cartoon ends with his "Bee-woop" sound.
