Films- War and Peace (1915): The first film version, a silent serial made in Imperial Russia.
- War and Peace (1956): The American version, directed by King Vidor, starring Audrey Hepburn as Natasha Rostova and Henry Fonda as Count Pierre Bezukhov. Cut out a lot of things so it was "only" 208 minutes long.
- War and Peace (1966-1967): The Soviet version by Sergei Bondarchuk (who also starred as Pierre). It was released in four parts, with a total running time of 431 minutes.
- Love and Death (1975): A parody of classic works of Russian literature by Woody Allen, including a lot of spoofing of War and Peace.

- War and Peace (1972), British miniseries produced by The BBC. Starring Anthony Hopkins as Pierre.
- War and Peace (2007), French-Italian miniseries. Starring Alexander Beyer as Pierre, Alessio Boni as Andrei and Clémence Poésy as Natasha.
- War and Peace (2016), British miniseries produced by The BBC. Starring Paul Dano as Pierre, Lily James as Natasha and James Norton as Andrei.
