Star Trek: Wolfsong is a Star Trek fanfiction series written by Troper Resetlocksley under the pen-name Kahless of Vulcan. Wolfsong features completely original characters and takes place on the eponymous USS Wolfsong, an Intrepid-class Federation starship assigned to Starfleet's Eleventh Fleet.

At the moment, Wolfsong consists of two stories of novelette length and two smaller vignettes, all of which can be found on the Star Trek: Between The Stars website, with the first story "Hunting Grounds" available here.

The Crew Of The Wolfsong Includes:

This series provides examples of:

  • Action Girl: K'Serryn, a civilian science advisor serving on the Wolfsong is a Klingon warrior who kicks butt with the best of them.
  • Aerith and Bob: As you'd expect for a Star Trek series, Wolfsong features humans with bland names like Jason Gray alongside aliens with names like T'Kor, K'Serryn, and KulShivan ch'Tao-Mey
  • Cool Starship: Wolfsong herself, affectionately nicknamed The 'Song by her crew.
  • Cultured Badass: Kathor may be a formidable warrior from a race widely known as barbarians, but he appreciates art and poetry to a degree most Klingons do not.
  • Cultural Rebel: Zuna Sarrana is a Green Orion, a race whose women are known for being seductive and promiscuous Green-Skinned Space Babes. Zuna isn't seductive, flirtatious, or even particularly friendly. Instead, she's sarcastic and condescending and not even remotely interested in sleeping around.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Several characters show shades of snarkiness, but Shivan and Vasik take the lead, with Jason Gray being a close second.
  • Genius Bruiser: Kathor is incredibly clever and very well-educated, as well as being a skilled warrior.
  • Little Miss Badass: Zuna Sarrana is short, small, and completely capable of incapacitating much larger opponents with ease.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Jorhan Rukar, The Spymaster. An old mentor of Alex Locksley's manipulates every situation he comes across and every person he knows to suit his own purposes. Even the people he likes - no, especially the people he likes.
  • My Name Is Inigo Montoya: Captain Shivan does this to the Hirogen hunter Zaanagar, shortly before unleashing The Plan that results in Zaanagar's defeat.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Kathor, to a degree. He embraces the teachings of Kahless but views most other Klingons as uncultured bloodthirsty barbarians with no real honor.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Zuna Sarrana is small but very strong.
  • Proud Warrior Race Guy: Kathor, as a Klingon, is an obvious example. Captain Shivan occasionally shows this side of his personality as well.
  • Smug Snake: Jorhan Rukar, a Cardassian spy, always acts like he knows something you don't. It's justified in that he almost always does, but that doesn't make him any less irritating to those around him.
