A twist of fate(?) lands the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous, magical accessories containing ancient spirits of the Corrupt King's Court, in the hands of Simon Gilios and Marianne Gonzales. Armed with the Ladybug's Earrings and the Black Cat's Ring, the two can transform into Ladybug and Chat Noir, a superhero pair unlike any other that takes on akumatized villains one after the other.
A crossover AU of Miraculous and Academy of Merlin.
This work contains examples of:
- Breakout Character: Virtually every character aside from Simon and Mari can count as this, as all of them in Merlin are side NPCs that never got much development.
- Best Beer Ever: Magnolia's patented Clear Hearted Murder, a powerful vodka that can get even Simon slurring with just a glass and a half.
- Big Bad: It changes regularly with every arc, but this tends to be whoever is the current holder of the Butterfly Brooch. So far, it's passed through Orion, Marta, and Rigel.
- Bittersweet Ending: The ending of the first arc. The Butterfly Brooch was successfully taken from Orion, but not before he released thousands of defiled akuma all over the planet.
- Breather Episode: The more comedic akuma in between the more serious ones.
- Character Development: Rampant throughout the RP. Simon goes from a very solitary person to one that dislikes keeping secrets, and Marianne breaks out of the meek shell Orion forced around her. This Marianne is also much more honest with her feelings than Merlin!Marianne.
- The Chosen Many: The eight Chosen of the Miraculous.
- The Chosen One: Zig-zagged. The Solluna Cult entertains the idea that there's an Unchosen out there that can hold all eight Miraculous and thus become Perfect.
- Comes Great Insanity: Wearing a Miraculous as an Unchosen, usually, unless you're Loved by them.
- Curse: The Miraculous, also known as the King's Court, are bound to the jewelry their souls have been tied to and can't leave unless the accessory is Destroyed by Simon or Ryng. It's this aspect that most of the Miraculous consider the real "curse" they're under, and not the fact that they're attached to accessories until the end of time.
- Dysfunction Junction: Oh my good lord where do I fucking start.
- Fate Worse than Death: All the Miraculous are dead already, but their souls are permanently tied to their respective accessories. This wouldn't be so bad if they could stretch their legs, but instead they're trapped inside their accessories unless they're Destroyed. It's this specific part of the curse most of the Miraculous wish to destroy, especially because they're not exactly conscious without a Chosen to wear them.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Mari, Xander, and Simon.
- How We Got Here: The intermissions and interludes serve as building up the backstory of the King's Court, explaining the events of their past and how they got to the point they're in.
- I Will Find You: There are four pairs of Miraculous, and most of them spend their time with their Chosen either with their other half or looking for them. For example, as soon as Bengell became active, the only thing on their mind was to find Cajj.
- Jigsaw Puzzle Plot: The backstory of the Miraculous, figuring out what they did, who they are, and who exactly Memory is bit by bit.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: The Memory Miraculous successfully erased themselves from the minds of the other seven Miraculous, but Ryng and Pendante were able to realize their existence by the lack of anything in their memories.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: Any of the Chosen transforming shows that they mean business.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Mari delivered a killer one to Orion.Marianne: You tested my patience and took advantage of my graciousness and decided you could go around fucking anybody you liked just because I said I understood that your father made you do it for business deals—just like you took it too far when I said I understood that you needed to vent and hurt me any way you goddamn pleased—I gave you chance after chance after chance. Because you acted pathetic, and I acted cold because I was still too insecure and reliant on your creepy obsession with me to make me feel good about myself. But I was ANGRY. I AM angry. YOU MAKE ME ANGRY. You make me angry, and upset, and horrible, and you know what, Orion? If you wanted to leave your mark, you did. But guess what? It doesn't matter! Because I'm moving on anyways.
- Sanity Slippage: Wearing Miraculous when you aren't a Chosen is a very bad idea.
- "Save the World" Climax: What should have been a simple retrieval mission turned into this as Ladybug and Chat Noir fought to get the Brooch back from Orion before he spread akuma all over the planet. They lost, but fortunately it wasn't as bad as they had thought it would be.

Miraculous
The Ladybug, also known as the Granter. Stayed in the castle Garden until the Fall thanks to Ryng, but before that they were in Ouroboros' forest and Memory's castle. Pendante's sister.
tbe
The Black Cat, also known as the Corrupt King. Responsible for Earri's initial imprisonment, a ruthless monarch that singlehandedly took over every nearby country.
- Hartman Hips: Very curvy in their femme form.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Ryng possesses the power to see Corruption in others' souls, but they themselves are not nearly as corrupted as they act. Their Heart is actually a shining beacon of good, but it's covered with so much extra gunk from exposing themselves to other toxic members of the Court and beyond that it's difficult to see at first glance.
- Long-Haired Pretty Boy: In their (default) masc form. Ryng's hair is very long, and they don't bother tying it back.
The Honeybee, and a member of Ryng's Court. A particularly gullible and easily excitable ex-queen that hardcore crushed on Pendante back in the day.
- Heart Is an Awesome Power: One of Koumme's Traits is Love, which can be used to combat Dalya's Fear.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Cajj slammed their rapier through their chest, killing them.
- Little Miss Badass: They dress very cutely and act very innocent for an ex-warrior queen that gave Ryng a very hard time before Pendante's influence.
- Sweet Tooth: In order to regenerate their power, Koumme needs to consume sugar. As a result, they and their Chosen develop a taste for sweets.
The Jellyfish, and a member of Ryng's court. A very floaty individual that's much sharper than they appear. Apparently an ex-member of Memory's court. Earri's brother.
tbe
The Peacock, and a member of Ryng's Court. A calm ex-prince that's a master of peaceful negotiation. Doesn't display any obvious affections for Bengell... in public, anyway.
- The Stoic: Their Apathy keeps them at this most of the time.
- Not So Stoic: Bengell's Passion can get to them.
The Tiger, and a member of Ryng's Court. A brash, hot-headed individual that's very Passionate about Cajj.
tbe
The Butterfly, and an ex-member of Ryng's Court. A manipulative asshole that's (partly) responsible for the Fall of the Court.
tbe
The Queen of Ouroboros, the kingdom that Earri and Pendante originally hail from. Motives currently unknown.
- The Chessmaster: The mastermind behind the events of the Fall of the Court, and even now is twisting events behind the scenes to suit their needs.
- Giggling Villain: Can usually be heard giggling when they find something funny, which can be someone suffering, or someone trying to figure something out, or to make the Miraculous nervous, or...
Earri and Ryng's fusion, powerful and capable of twisting both Fate and Time.
