Darth Wiki / Little Witch Vicky

Go To

A Spin-Off of DLD, starring Cute Witch Vicky.

After the Series Fauxnale of D.L.D., in which she got her powers back, Vicky decides to continue going to regular school with her non-magic friends. Being a two-hundred-something-year-old witch ain't easy, and this series shows how and why.

Tropes:

  • Adjective Noun Fred
  • Big Damn Heroes: In the first episode, Vicky saves a young boy from a pedophile.
  • Bottle Episode: Vicky Versus Hall Duty follows Vicky's duty as hall monitor in one continuous take.
  • Creepy Cockroach: Vicky Versus the Roach has a bigass cockroach enter Vicky's classroom, causing everybody, even the teacher, to flee and panic. One student even asks Vicky to use magic to kill it, to which she responds that would be using dark magic, which she has no knowledge of. She also paraphrases the trope quote.
Vicky: Everybody gangsta til the roach starts flying.
Anisha: It must be one of those New York roaches who decided to move out of the big city!
  • Dodgeball Is Hell: Vicky Versus the Ball has Vicky and her friends attempting to win a dodgeball match.
  • Growing Up Sucks: Hunter goes into full-blown panic mode when he learns that once he gets to 5th grade, he and his classmates won't have their teacher, but rather multiple teachers for each subject. In the end, he accepts the situation, especially after they pull all their money together and give the teacher an expensive watch.
Hunter: Here's my share for the gift for Teacher.
Marcy: Hunter, there's 200 dollars here!
Hunter: That's not enough, is it? I know, I'll give you my lunch money.
Marcy: No need, this is enough!
  • Fish out of Water: Vicky is this in her school. What she doesn't know is, there's another witch in school besides her, named Marcy, except she keeps it a secret.
  • Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: Every episode follows the "Vicky Versus _____" formula.
  • The Lost Lenore: Vicky still misses her dead fiance Georgés, but falls in love with a boy in her class.
  • Pædo Hunt: In Vicky Versus Pedophiles, Vicky uses her young looks to take down a few local pedophiles.
  • Parody Episode: The "Blicky" Arc (named after the relationship between Vicky and her ex, Bludweiser) is a series of Shallow Parody episodes of WandaVision.
  • Picture Day: Picture Dazed has all sorts of catastrophes befall Vicky and her classmates right on picture day:
    • Vicky and Marcy have zits that not even magic can get rid off.
    • Hunter and Day can't keep each other's Messy Hair straight.
    • All of Anisha's clothes are in the wash, so she has to wear the only remaining thing; her Halloween bunny costume.
    • Then it turns out that everybody in Vicky's class has zits, messy hair and bad clothes (poor Almond has all three)... everybody except weird girl Godzilla who Cleans Up Nicely.
  • Prom Is for Straight Kids: Vicky Versus Homophobia has Vicky defending two boys who want to go to the school dance together, but some students and the PTA want to stop them.
  • Reality-Writing Book: Marcy's magic diary is a Type 2, as it writes whatever's happening to her at the moment. It can also talk.
  • Refugee from TV Land: One episode had Hunter laugh at a short story about a boy who got thrown into a dumpster. The boy gets out of the story and tries to teach Hunter a lesson... emphasis on try.
  • Ripped from the Headlines: Vicky Versus the Coronavirus, in which Vicky, Marcy and Anisha do a Journey To The Center Of The Body of an infected classmate to fight the titular menace.
  • Whole-Plot Reference:
    • Vicky Versus Censorship is basically a Vickified remake of the Johnny Bravo episode The Great Bunny Book Ban.
      • In it, Little Suzy fights the ban of the book Harold and the Fuzzy Bunny, while Vicky fights against the ban of the book H. P. Lovecraft 's Goodnight Bedtime Stories.
Mr. Bloatedheart: That book features humans playing with Elder Gods. It's that kind of fantasy garbage that turns kids into hippies, communists and liberals!
    • Likewise, Vicky Versus the Weirdo Fan's Pressure is a Frankensteinian mashup of several The Amazing World of Gumball episodes; namely, "The Pressure", "The Fan" and "The Weirdo", with a strange girl with an even stranger name Godzilla Frankenstein-Einstein as Sussie and Sarah, Anisha and Hunter as Darwin and Vicky as Gumball.
    • Vicky Versus the Inconvenient Shelter is a Whole Plot Reference of The Powerpuff Girls episode Helter Shelter in which Anisha brings monsters seen in DLD to school.
    • Anisha Versus Milly plays out like a typical Angela Anaconda episode.
    • Then there's the story arc consisting of 4 episodes, which are references to episodes of Flying Rhino Junior High.
    • Vicky Versus Wi-Fi is this for the A.N.T. Farm episode "ANTswers"; principal Peterson shuts down the school's Wi-Fi, so Vicky and her friends provide Internet services to the other students (information, images, music, etc.), but mostly act out famous Vine and Youtube videos.

Characters:
  • Vicky Oštrić - The titular heroine.
  • Vicky's friends and classmates:
    • Anisha - A Syrian refugee.
    • Marcy - Another witch in school, has a magical talking diary.

    • Hunter & Day Terry - In DLD, they were time travelling teenagers, now they're a pair of normal kids who go to Vicky's class.
    • Godzilla Frankenstein-Einstein - As noted above, a strange girl with an even stranger name.
  • Milly, Lilly & Filly - Alpha Bitch, Only Sane Man, and Beta Bitch.
