Fate/Mobius Recode is a private Fate-based Indonesian Play-by-Post Role-Playing game hosted in Facebook.

Fourteen years after the dismantlement of Fuyuki's Greater Grail, a certain town in a certain nation has successfully finished their recreation of the Holy Grail in order to stage their very own Holy Grail War, and the Holy Church is once again tasked with overseeing the proceeding of the Holy Grail War. The magus of Mage's Association heard of the new War and quickly sent their very best magus to observe and participate if possible. Meanwhile, Chaldea Security Organization has detected the replica Grail as a source of singularity and sent a team to investigate.

Everything went as expected until one day, almost all of the city's inhabitants and newcomers disappeared. The survivors woke up to an empty town and discovered that they did not have any memories of the previous week, nor do they know where exactly they are. Not only that, but they discovered that they can't contact anyone outside of the city as well. As they panicked, a Man with gaudy clothes appeared on every screen in town, claiming responsibility of what had happened and introducing himself as the Servant, Watcher. The survivors are then quickly thrust into a large-scale Holy Grail War of the city of lost memories, Mu.

Tropes that apply to this roleplay are:

  • Alternate History: Here, Jack the Ripper is actually Mary Jane Kelly's husband.
  • Animal Lover: Wilda Lottie Hudson is an assassin of Chaldea's Master. She's a sweet girl hailing from a Native American magus family. Her wish to the grail is 'Happiness upon all animals'.
  • Ax-Crazy: The notorious Serial Killer of Victorian England, Jack the Ripper himself. His mental state is described as 'more of a Berserker than Assassin'.
  • Barrier Warrior: Enjolras, a figure as depicted in Victor Hugo's Les Misérables. His primary Noble Phantasm lets him recreate the Barricades of Paris.
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: Minamoto no Yorimitsu is someone who can laugh even in the face of actual danger. He rarely seems anything other than relaxed or even carefree and even in the response of being threatened, he'd usually just laugh it off.
  • Cell Phones Are Useless: No one can estabilish contact out of the city. Not even the internet works properly if the server isn't located in Mu.
  • Closed Circle: The City of Mu traps everyone left in it.
  • Composite Character: Eljolras in this roleplay is made of the character 'Enjolras' and the real individual that serves as Hugo's inspiration of said character.
  • Crippling Overspecialization: Eljolras. His skills and Noble Phantasms are all of defensive and survival purposes, leaving him unsuited for frontline offense.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Nataku/Nezha is the legendary lotus child of Chinese Mythology, Nataku is a troublemaker and a free spirit in Chaldea who drives like crazy. To the point that even Chaldea's servants, who were supposed to be immune became carsick due to her driving.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Eljolras. Elizabeth Bathory mistook him as a young woman upon seeing him.
  • Ghost City: Mu is an abandoned city, although at day the civilians were replaced by Automatas.
  • Hidden Depths: Minamoto no Yorimitsu is a servant. He's mostly laid-back and carefree with him often teasing his peers. Still for someone who often mention that he's getting too old to battle and he should try his best to not lose against the young ones, he is very strict and analytical should a battle actually ensues. While he does know when to and not to hold back, he usually prioritize getting his mission across rather than anything else.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: Valence Vulpes. Archer of Chaldea's Master, Valence is a young man who seeks to do good in order to restore his family's name and honor before ending up joining Chaldea. His Mystic Code is a backsword.
  • In-Series Nickname: Minamoto no Yorimitsu calls himself and is also called by others Jiji which means Gramps.
  • Last-Name Basis: Called Eljolras. 'Enjolras' is actually his last name, although it is his True Name as a Heroic Spirit.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Enjolras is a very pretty boy with long, golden blonde hair. He inherited it from his father.
  • The Medic: Jack the Ripper. Being a surgeon, he's technically capable of medical assistance.
  • Mellow Fellow: Minamoto no Yorimitsu. Others often comment for how calm and carefree he is most of the time, which leads to him saying something along the lines of Casual Danger Dialogue during battles.
  • Multinational Team: Chaldea team as a whole. The Masters are Japanese, American, and British. The Servants are Hungarian, Chinese, American, French, and British.
  • The Napoleon: Eljolras. He is the shortest man on the Chaldea Team and is the second shortest male servant in the group, barring Ranmaru who has the body of a child.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Minamoto no Yorimitsu's laid-back and carefree nature is just a front. He's actually much more competent and knowledgable than what he allow others to believe.
  • Older Than They Look: Minamoto no Yorimitsu. No matter how you look at him, he isn't old. But he usually refers to himself as Jiji/Gramps given the era in which he is originally (he came from the late Heian period, which means the late 11th century) and despite how "old" he is, he is very formidable in battle.
  • Only Sane Man: János Hunyadi is the legendary Hungarian General who were known for his victory over the Ottomans during the Siege of Belgrade. Between the childish Nataku, mentally unstable Jack, extremely stubborn Enjolras and rather meek Annie, he's the designated 'functional adult'.
  • Patriotic Fervor: Enjolras will loudly proclaim of his French nationality and heritage, and wears the French Flag tied in his waist as well as a tricolor cockade pinned to his coat.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: Jack the Ripper uses knives made out of his victims' blood to fight.
  • Religious Bruiser: János Hunyadi is a Hungarian General, known for his victory over the Ottomans during the Siege of Belgrade. Religious and can very much kick ass.
  • The Quiet One: Annie Jump Cannon is a woman who revolutionized the field of astronomy through her catalouging of Stellar Classification. She does not talk much and prefers to observe the rest of the team.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Jack the Ripper is a 19th century nobleman, so he dresses very sharply, even in casual attire.
  • Star Power: Annie Jump Cannon is a woman is an astronomer and astrologer. She uses star power to fight.
  • The Strategist: János Hunyadi is noted as more of a tactician than a fighter, although he is more than capable on that field too.
  • Urban Fantasy: Mu is described as a very modern city, and a magical war happened to took place in it.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Enjolras looks like a soft pretty boy. Despite his appearance, his voice is very noticeably a deep baritone.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Enjolras would hurt a teenager. Nothing is stopping him from fighting and mortally wounding Ranmaru with a point-blank shot. Ranmaru is a teenager, while he is 26 years old.
