Discordronpa: Retold Legacies is a Danganronpa fan-roleplay run on Discord by Moon, GM of Discordronpa and the Dangancord games. As the name implies, it is a Continuity Reboot of Discordronpa, meaning everyone is playing as a fictionalized version of themself.
This roleplay contains examples of:
- 20 Minutes into the Future: It's revealed from what's shown on Moon's Nintendo Switch that the events of the killing game are happening in 2024, whilst the RP itself occurred in 2022. Technology has advanced enough to allow a deep-immersion simulation in which to play killing games, but that seems to be all that's changed.
- How Is That Even Possible?: Sylvi occasionally says Ellie Spectacular's "Sus" emote
, out loud somehow, invariably prompting her headmates to ask "how did you do that with our mouth". - Replacement Goldfish: After Glitchy, Ultimate Gaming Fanatic is murdered in the first chapter, their romantic partner immediately drunkenly entangles themself with another player. It's clear from their drunken ramblings that they don't see their new paramour as a unique individual who they're attracted to on their merits as a person, but as a convenient target to project their memories of the deceased.
- Shipper on Deck: When Moon and Zex first start flirting with each other, Sylvi remarks that she finds the pair quite cute. At least, until she realizes that Moon only sees Zex as a Replacement Goldfish for Glitchy.
- Trapped in Villainy: While Discord-chan runs the killing game, it soon becomes clear that she doesn't exactly want to, and is being coerced by some "white-robed mother fucker in the sky". And she doesn't mean Grandpa God.
