Beyond the Great Sea
is a storytelling ARPG (Art Role Playing Group) set in the universe of The Legend of Zelda. Its mainly focused on elements from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, such as the art style and the setting being beyond the Great Sea set in the game. It is also influenced by other Zelda games in the franchise, such as The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and The Legend Of Zelda Breathofthe Wild.
As of June 13th, 2020, the group has officially closed down, and will be succeeded by Champions of the South Sea.

- De-power: Overworking beyond her limit and the warning signs caused Kuren to pretty much go back to Level 1 for all of her spells.
- Power-Strain Blackout: Overuse of her healing magic caused her to blackout for most of a week's time. Woke up to find out that she damaged her magic to the point of only able to cast basic spells. Only time will heal this injury. Gained the bags under her eyes as well.

- The Potato event returns as The Potatwo, and the thing attracts Skulltulas instead of just being unnerving. The beginning of the chain is just as wonderful as the rest of it. Merry Christmas!
- The "Mimic Incident" RP. Just, all of it due to:
- Rosa the Bot being such a Troll with success or fail coin tosses (usually favoring the latter).
- Ending with someone saying Let Us Never Speak of This Again.
- The reactions that followed suit in the Discord when The Pirate King showed up and the jokes that followed after it.
- Just the members's responses to this event's whiplash and how it unfolded: Deku Scrubs being a thing? Neat! The Pirate King suddenly showing up? THAT'S REALLY BAD NEWS, WE HAVE A HIGH CHANCE OF DYING!!!! Members cracking jokes about The Pirate King shooting his gun at Archie, when it's said in his app to be a "Last Resort"? Darkly Funny. Suddenly in the Discord "PIRATEKING" appears? Absolutely Hilarious.
- If you hover your mouse over the images in the journal, you get some amusing text that's also quite fitting the situation.
- The Potato event once again returns as The Potathree! It's based off the snotty boy in Wind Waker and his snot adds a squick factor. On top of that, it's Ativa that starts it off as the unlucky one, handing it to Arlette.
- As soon as Keaka spots Arlette, they high tail it out of there, not only recognizing Arlette, but knowing that doll is cursed like the one they had to deal with.

- Ativa's grand entrance is so good, there are a few great moments that came from it. One of them being:
- In response to Kian's bad talking once again, Dinah, calmly, with a smile, magically blacklists Kian from Flora, Daruk and Rupia's stores for two months.
- And then he has to recover from the blacklist after those two months as well...
Trivia
- I Knew It!: There has been a few thus far.
- Going off of what Cobra commented on Trina, members were theorizing that Shiekah and Yiga clans were involved in the story. Confirmed to be the case in "We're Not Dead Yet".
- The Pirate King and Archie being related and soon meeting each other after the former's face reveal. Zigzagged, however, what people didn't expect was The Pirate King shooting at Archie for his goddamn name and (for some) Deku Scrubs being apart of the story.
- Members feared that Dinah (due to not appearing the Marketplace for sometime now) was pulled into the Fog by The Pirate King's faction. Subverted, going off of what Ativa said implies that she's out of harms way. However, it's actually Double Subverted, since what people didn't see coming was ????? note allowing himself to be brought into the Fog as an attempt to help out his brothers.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: When it was announced on June 13th 2020 that the group was closing down for good and the group itself was going to be gone within a week, various official story group materials on Deviantart and in Google Docs have been removed before the 20th. However, some can still be found with a simple Google search, like on Pinterest.
- Real Life Writes the Plot: As a main reason why the group was closing down was due to Deviantart's new layout Eclipse making it hell for them to navigate and to continue using.
- What Could Have Been: What player characters would've done towards unused events and the playable races that were hinted at/planned for.

Beyond the Great Sea contains examples of:
- Anyone Can Die: Seeing how a war is going on, Trina came pretty damn close to dying after her first encounter with Cobra. Hence why it's highly encouraged to level up player characters so they have a better chance of survivability in battles.
- Dramatic Irony: A couple, such as:
- Trina and Arnos being a couple.
- Gerome being a Yiga and spying on the coalation. Only Joey is aware but there's not much he can do, as Gerome pretty much can make the island be in jeopardy if he wishes to, should Joey not comply with his demands.
- Daruk left to go into the Fog, causing everyone In-Universe to forget about him.
- Trina and Arnos being a couple
- The Hero: The NPC, Admin and Player Characters who are against the Pirate King's factions.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": The Fogbound Sacnta Crew and the Deku Scrubs in response to encountering the Pirate King!
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Members feared that Dinah was pulled into the Fog by The Pirate King's faction, especially when Ativa replied with the question "Who is Dinah?" when Keaka asked him about her, since it's been awhile since Dinah showed up at the Marketplace. As it turns out, Ativa was pulling a prank and while he doesn't know where Dinah is, he does still remember her. However, this is Double Subverted, when ????? note , pulls Ativa away from Keaka, to work out a deal with him. What is the deal? Well, it's somewhat vague, but Daruk pays Ativa a Star Fragment as payment so he could take him and leave him in the Fog to supposedly help his brothers, even though doing so would result in everyone, including Ativa (who makes note of this) forgetting about him. So once he's there and Ativa flies off, there's no going back. ????? accepted the risk. So while the members were wrong about it being Dinah in the Fog, they were correct about somebody being in it.
