Bad Luck is Better than No Luck is a Doctor Who/Final Fantasy XIII-2 fanfic that starts simply enough. When a certain long-haired prettyboy attempts to hijack the TARDIS, the doctor has no choice but to bail out. Somehow he ends up in Serendipity, where he has the gamble for a chance to earn back his precious blue box. Here he meets Sazh Katzroy, who is competing under similar terms for the chance to rescue his son. After a string of highly improbable events, the pair become card-counting buddies.
