has Kristoff stopping Elsa from killing herself. - By the Hands of the People is a historical piece revolving around a Ruling Family Massacre. It's a Death Fic where Elsa and Anna are assassinated by a militia.
- Darkness Burning is a fanfic where Elsa and Anna's parents didn't die. Elsa's depression gets worse until she attempts suicide. After she's saved, the fic revolves around her recovery.
- In Don't Breathe Too Deep, Anna finds a suicide note Elsa wrote years ago and confronts her about it.
- Ending the Curse is an alternate outcome during their confrontation at the Ice Palace where instead of accidentally striking Anna by the heart, Elsa chose to kill herself hoping to end the Endless Winter and keep Anna away from harm. She is later revived by virtue of The Power of Love by Anna proclaiming her love for her.
- Erasing The Past is about Anna finding a suicide letter Elsa wrote before their parents died.
- For The Last Time In Forever is an alternate ending to the first film where Arendelle is stuck in an eternal winter.
- Fireside Tale is an AU of the first film's ending where Anna goes to Kristoff instead of Elsa. Elsa died and Anna is crowned queen in her sister's stead. However, Anna never recovered from Elsa's death and no one ever learned how to stop the blizzard, so Arendelle was left abandoned. Now the country of Arendelle and its supposed fall is just a story people talk about around the fire.
- Frozen Fractals is an Anna/Elsa fic that has some of the normal angsting associated with the ship. But, its real dark spot is Hans' brother Karl, who is worse than Hans. He invades Arendelle with Southern Isles' ships and tortures Anna.
- Gefühllos is a oneshot where a depressed and suicidal teenage Elsa has a dream where her powers kill her.
- The Ice Behind Bars turns Elsa's father into a terrible abuser who starves and tortures her.
- In In Pain And Blood, one of Elsa's children tries to murder his family to become king, so Elsa takes the law into her own hands and kills him herself.
- Kingdom of Isolation is an Alternate Universe Fic oneshot where Anna dies at the end of the film. This leads Elsa into a Villainous Breakdown.
- The Night Will Always Win is a fanfic where Elsa commits suicide prior to her coronation and Anna finds her body a few days later. It is by inspired by this comic.
- Now That You're Bleeding explores the idea of Elsa self-harming. It starts when she was a kid and she accidentally cut herself during a self-created snow storm. She finds she wants to be punished, so she begins intentionally turning her ice powers against herself.
- The oneshot Other Reasons revolves around Elsa showing Self-Harm scars to her sister Anna.
- The Queen of Hearts has Elsa learning that she is Anna's half-sister and angsting over it. It's also revealed that Hans is their half-brother from when their mother was imprisoned and tortured during a Southern Isle-Arendelle war.
- Table Salt is a one-shot where a twelve year old Elsa sees kids playing a game where they burn themselves using ice and salt. Elsa is unable to feel cold, so she's curious if she can feel it if she does the same thing. It works and she begins doing it on purpose to deal with her self-hatred.
