Tooru Fujisawa (藤沢 とおる, Fujisawa Tōru, also romanized Tohru, born 1967) is a mangaka best known as the creator of GTO: The Early Years and its better-known sequel Great Teacher Onizuka. He grew up in Hokkaido, and moved to Tokyo alone at age 17 to become a mangaka. In 1998, Fujisawa won the Kodansha Manga Award for Great Teacher Onizuka.
