Tooru Fujisawa (藤沢 とおる, ''Fujisawa Tōru'', also romanized ''Tohru'', born 1967) is a mangaka best known as the creator of ''Manga/ShonanJunaiGumi'' and its better-known sequel ''Manga/GreatTeacherOnizuka''. He grew up in Hokkaido, and moved to Tokyo alone at age 17 to become a mangaka. In 1998, Fujisawa won the Kodansha Manga Award for ''Great Teacher Onizuka''.
