Tropes about his career:

  • Promoted Fanboy:
    • One of SungWon's favorite anime is One Piece, as evidenced by the massive amounts of posters and figures he collects of the series. He wound up getting to voice Cat Viper in the English dub.
    • SungWon played through Fire Emblem: Three Houses five times. He later got to be in the Alternate Universe followup, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, as Holst Sigiswald Goneril.
    • He did some comic dubs of Lackadaisy before being cast as Mordecai in the animated pilot (and various other prerelease material, like official comic dubs).
  • Vocal Dissonance: Commonly referenced in his skits, and directly named in "audition slides i get sent for my voice vs my face. The voice audition slide is a well-spoken, sinister villain using his deep baritone, while the face is a nerd who "peed [his] pants 'cause [he] played computer games too much!"
  • What Could Have Been: SungWon was one of two finalists for the part of Microbe for the New Warriors sitcom set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he didn't get the part, and the casting directors told him they thought the other choice (Matthew Moy, of 2 Broke Girls and Steven Universe) would have a better physical dynamic with the rest of the cast since he was shorter. Ultimately, it didn't matter because the show was shelved before premiere; it was, however, a turning point in SungWon's career, as he decided to move to Los Angeles and become properly represented by an agency.
