Stephen Spinella (born October 11, 1956 in Naples, Italy) is an Italian-American actor. Raised in Arizona, he is an alumnus of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Spinella made a splash on the New York stage creating the role of Prior Walter in Tony Kushner’s Angels in America. He is also known for the films Milk and Can You Ever Forgive Me?, as well as the fifth season of 24.
He is openly gay.
