Samuel Wanamaker (born Wattenmacker; June 14, 1919 - December 18, 1993) was an American actor and director best known for Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), Raw Deal (1986), and Holocaust (1978).
He was married to Charlotte Holland and they had three children, including Zoë Wanamaker. His nephew was Marc Wanamaker.
Wanamaker died in 1993 at the age of 74 from prostate cancer.
In 2019, Wanamaker appeared as a character in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He was portrayed by Nicholas Hammond.
