Samuel John Bottoms (October 17, 1955 – December 16, 2008) was an American actor and producer best known for Apocalypse Now (1979), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), and Seabiscuit (2003).
He was married to Susan Arnold and Laura Bickford and had two daughters with Arnold. His siblings are Timothy Bottoms, Joseph Bottoms, and Ben Bottoms.
Bottoms died in 2008 at the age of 53 from glioblastoma, a brain cancer.
