Robby Benson (born Robin David Segal; January 21, 1956 in Dallas, Texas) is an American actor, director, singer, and composer. His acting career started in 1967 and he had five music singles released mostly during The '70s.
He is arguably best known as the voice of the Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and as Lieutenant J.T. Marsh from Exo Squad. Apart from his acting roles, he also directed television productions (including six episodes of Friends) and composed a number of songs for such films as The Breakfast Club.
He is not related to Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel.
