Nahoko Uehashi (上橋菜穂子 Uehashi Nahoko, born July 15, 1962) is a Japanese writer and cultural anthropologist from Tokyo mainly known for the Moribito series and The Beast Player. She has a distinctive Signature Style. If you're reading one of her books, expect a story set in a Constructed World with a mixture of Asian cultures, a Parental Substitute of an unrelated child, characters with exotic names, a Switching P.O.V., and plenty Food Porn.
