Founded in 1979 by Iranian-born American businessman Isaac Larian, MGA Entertainment (short for Micro-Games America Entertainment, yeah) is one of the largest privately-owned toy companies.

In the 1990s, the company was known for producing handheld game versions of various popular games from Namco, Taito, and Atari of the time (hence the name Micro-Games America). It has also produced games based on Goosebumps, Power Rangers, RoboCop, and even the Navy SEALs.

Currently, it is known for producing toys, such as the Little Tikes brand. They’re also known for their fashion dolls, savvy with pop-cultural references and parodies. They’re also known for leading the reinvention of Blind Bag Collectables from the trading card aisle to the playline toys section.

Is infamous its rivalry with Mattel. The two companies were engaged in a series of hostile lawsuits over the legality of MGA's Bratz toyline, which its creator Carter Bryant had designed while working under the rival brand. The Other Wiki gives more details under the company’s own article.
