Julian Dean Chavasse Orchard, (3 March 1930 — 21 June 1979), was a British actor best known for his roles in the Carry On... Series.

His drama education came at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. By The '60s, he was popping up in small roles in many a British comedy film, including Uncredited Roles in Norman Wisdom films On the Beat and A Stitch in Time. From 1967 to 1971, he appeared in four Carry On films, with his biggest role being his final - the campy Duc de Pincenay in Carry On Henry.

The same year as Henry, Orchard played Cornelius Button in Grasshopper Island, Mr. Pettigrew in Whack-O! (taking over the role first played by Arthur Howard), and did Pantomime with Terry Scott over the Christmas season.

Continuing his film appearances, he appeared in The Movies of Bless This House and Man About the House, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother, The Slipper and the Rose, and Awful British Sex Comedies including Keep It Up Downstairs (in which he got Special Guest billing) and Adventures of a Private Eye.

In 1974, he joined the Old Vic's National Theatre Company. There, he appeared in the first production of Peter Hall, The Tempest, playing the double act of Stephano and Trinculo with Arthur Lowe.

He died after a short illness at the age of 49.
