Fiona Reid has been acting since the 70s, but she is best known for playing Larry Kiing's wife Cathy on CBC's 1975 sitcom King of Kensington (until she left after Season 3, leading to the characters getting divorced in the show) and Ian Miller's mother Harriet in the 2002 romantic-comedy film My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She's also done a bit of voice acting, notably in a few Nelvana cartoons, such as 2000's Timothy Goes to School (as Timothy's teacher Mrs. Jenkins) and 2003's Jacob Two-Two (as Jacob's teacher Miss Sourpickle).

In this area, she has won many awards for widely recognized roles as Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, and Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
