Charles Sidney Grodin (April 21, 1935 – May 18, 2021) was an American actor, comedian, author, and TV host from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, best known for his roles in The Heartbreak Kid (1972), King Kong (1976), Midnight Run, and the first two Beethoven movies.
He was married first to Julia Ferguson and then to Elissa Durwood. He had two children, one with Ferguson and one with Durwood.
