Berenice Consuelo Bejo (born July 7, 1976 in Buenos Aires), francized to Bérénice, is a French-Argentinian actress.
She was born to director Miguel Bejo in Argentina. Her family escaped from the "National Reorganization Process" dictatorship and settled in France when she was only 3. She got her passion for acting after watching Singin' in the Rain and got her first roles in The '90s, eventually landing roles in major productions like A Knight's Tale.
She quickly rose to fame after her role in OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies and would go on to play in several more films directed by Michel Hazanavicius, whom she married. The Artist granted her a César award for best actress in a leading role, and she would get the Best Actress Award at the 66th Cannes Film Festival for Asghar Farhadi's The Past.
