Asghar Farhadi (born born 7 May 1972) is a critically acclaimed Iranian film director and screenwriter.
Among other awards, Farhadi has received two Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film, for A Separation, and The Salesman. He is the first Iranian director to win the award.
