Barbara Rush (January 4, 1927 - March 31, 2024) was an American stage and screen actress. She got her professional start at the Pasadena Playhouse in California and subsequently signed on as a contract player at Paramount Studios. She is best known for It Came from Outer Space, Bigger Than Life, and Robin and the 7 Hoods. She was also part of German-American director Douglas Sirk’s Production Posse, appearing in four of his films.
Rush had been married three times: to actor Jeffrey Hunter, publicist Warren Cowan, and sculptor Jim Gruzalki. She had two children by Cowan, including Fox News reporter Claire Cowan.
