Alida Maria Laura Altenburger von Marckenstein-Frauenberg (31 May 1921 – 22 April 2006), better known by her stage name Alida Valli (or sometimes simply Valli), was an Italian actress perhaps best known for her role as Anna in The Third Man. She also appeared in films such as Alfred Hitchcock's The Paradine Case, Michelangelo Antonioni's Il Grido, Bernardo Bertolucci's 1900 and Dario Argento's Suspiria (1977).
