Continuity Cavalcade / Star Wars: Squadrons

Go To

The game has enough Continuity Nods to fill a moon-sized battlestation.

  • Hera Syndulla is one of your superiors as a rebel. She's also wearing her jacket from the "canon-adjacent" LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures.
  • Rae Sloane, currently a Grand Admiral during the events of the Empire's war with the New Republic, briefs about intel she got on the Starhawk-class battleship's construction project.
  • The skirmish over Var-Shaa from the Hunted tie-in short is mentioned in cosmetic descriptions, and the playable Imperial character is assigned as Titan Three because the previous holder was killed in the short.
  • Several of the cosmetic starfighter skins are references to other squadrons, like Valeria's Blue Squadron and Saw's Partisans.
  • One of your teammates as an Imperial is a Vonreg. Flavor text for one of the Imperial pilot helmets says that the Vonregs were a family of nobles loyal to the Empire, with its members serving as Imperial pilots.
  • One outfit set for the Imperial player character is based on Captain Phasma's armor. Like her armor, yours is made of chromium, melted from certain "irrelevant monarchies"...
  • An Imperial helmet is made of aurodium, the Star Wars equivalent of gold, which might be a reference to Commander Pyre.
  • References to Skystrike and Carida are made in the Imperial customization flavor texts.
  • Frisk had no idea that one of his "acquisition" jobs was going to be shown to Thrawnnote , and it's also mentioned in the flavor text for the Chimaera figurine that he's been MIA for a while.
  • The flavor text for the chromium skins available to the rebel customization says that these were generous donations by Queen Soruna.
  • One of the Imperial hologram collectibles is of Gideon Hask.
  • You can put Sabine's starbird or her Wren Phoenix from Rogue One on your rebel starfighter.
  • One of the rebel helmets is called "Lasan Luxury".
  • Another rebel helmet is called "Castilon Dawn", which mentions a cool Noodle Incident of the New Republic Navy sending a Star Destroyer crashing down into the ocean. This would also imply Castilon was already liberated from the Empire by this point in the timeline.
  • The "Morning Star" rebel helmet is an in-universe homage to Phoenix Squadron.
  • The "Bayora Bronze" rebel helmet references the world of Bayora from Star Wars Battlefront II (2017). Kylo learned from force-probing Meeko that Lor San Tekka took the map to Acht-To with him there.
  • One of the rebel collectibles is a small statue of an unknown bird modeled after a description in an ancient manuscript... a porg. Since the location of Acht-To is lost until the end of The Force Awakens, it makes sense no one knows what a porg is yet.
  • Gunny fought with the 224th Mud Jumpers on Mimban during the Clone Wars.
  • Shen recalls the Ja-Bess incursion, an event that haunted Del Meeko. We learn what exactly happened: the Imperials burned rebels alive at Ja-Bess with baradium explosives.
  • Vonreg namedrops Iden Versio and Yrica Quell as notable defectors.
  • The Dragon Void Run is mentioned in a throwaway conversation with Gunny.
  • The Klossland Custom mentions Ajan Kloss, which is a quiet waypoint between New Republic outposts at the moment.
  • Gunny expresses a lack of faith in those Alphabet Squadron "slackers".
  • The rebel cosmetics in the tie-in DLC for The Mandalorian Season 2 include a doll of a "mysterious creature" (the Child) and a miniature model of the Razor Crest.
