The Capt'n and Hugo
Capt'n Crazy is a German comic strip by Matthias Schäfer which appeared in the comic magazine Comicaze
(from Munich) and on the review site highlightzone. It's about the life of Capt'n Crazy and his roommate / friend Hugo, the rat.
Tropes:
- Amusing Alien: The Capt'n. Actually, this was a late development - for a long time, even the author wasn't sure WTH the Capt'n actually is.
- Blind Without 'Em: Conrad, Captn's brother, is even almost-blind with em.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Occasionally, the author appears in the comic and comments the situation.
- Flowery Insults: "Bearded ape", "roast apple"
- I Want My Jetpack: In-Universe example. In a strip made in 2000, Conrad complained about this.
- Punny Name: Klothilde ("Klo" is short for water closet)
- Toilet Humor: Especially when they watch the movie Starship Poopers. Or when they get a new roommate, the toilet-cleaning "lady" Klothilde.
