Magic Trixie is a comic book series by Jill Thompson.

Magic Trixie is a little witch girl living in the city with her family, living above the diner they run. Also in the building is her friend Stitch Patch, the little Frankenstein's Monster boy.

The series follows Magic Trixie as she is joined by her talking cat, Scratches. She has to deal with little kid issues like what to bring to show-and-tell week, and sleepovers at her friends' homes. There are three books in the series.

Book 1: Magic Trixie (July 22nd, 2008)

Book 2: Magic Trixie Sleeps Over (October 21st, 2008)

Book 3: Magic Trixie And The Dragon (June 23rd, 2009)

Magic Trixie contains examples of:

  • All-Ghouls School: Monstersorri School is a small schoolhouse where Magic Trixie and all her monster friends go.
  • An Arm and a Leg: In the first book, Stitch's hand comes off while he's waving to Magic Trixie.
  • Chummy Mummy: Nefi, one of Magic Trixie's Cute Monster Girl friends, is a little girl mummy.
  • Creepy Cemetery: In "Magic Trixie Sleeps Over", when Trixie is brought to the vampire twins' sleepover, she's dropped off in a graveyard that's devoid of colour.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Loupie, Nefi, and the female vampire twin are all little girl monsters.
  • Cute Witch: Magic Trixie, of course.
  • Deliberately Monochrome: In "Magic Trixie Sleeps Over", when Trixie goes to a sleepover with the vampire twins, she comes to a graveyard that's shown only in black and white.
  • Dragon Rider: Magic Trixie sees some at the circus in "Magic Trixie And The Dragon". Magic Trixie's sister Tansy is dating one of them.
  • Forced Transformation: Abby Cadabra accidentally gets turned into a dragon in "Magic Trixie And The Dragon".
  • Protagonist Title: Magic Trixie is the main character of the series, as well as it's title.
  • Punny Name: Magic Trixie's baby sister's name is Abby Cadabra.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Before her sleepover at the vampire twins, Trixie is given a medallion she can use to return home at any time. She doesn't hesitate to use it when she realizes she'll be sleeping in a hole in a mausoleum with ghouls possibly wandering outside.
  • Talking Animal: Scratches, Magic Trixie's cat.
  • Wonderful Werewolf: Loupie and her family. Loupie can act a bit mean toward Magic Trixie sometimes, though.
  • You Are Grounded!: Magic Trixie gets grounded by her parents in the first book for bringing Abby Cadabra to her school for Show And Tell.
