Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point is a 2021 limited comic series by DC Comics featuring a crossover between Batman and Fortnite: Battle Royale. It was released throughout Chapter 2 Season 6 and Chapter 2 Season 7 as a tie-in.

Set during Chapter 2 Season 6, mysterious rifts in the space-time continuum appear over Gotham City, leading to its caped crusader entering one to discover the root cause. Awakening with amnesia on a strange island where its inhabitants are mute and driven to fight in a never-ending time loop, the Bat must find a way out and return home.

A sequel oneshot, Batman/Fortnite: Foundation, is set for release on October 27, 2021, during Chapter 2 Season 8.

Tropes in this reality include:

  • Advertised Extra: Armored Batman and Armored Catwoman are featured prominently on the cover of the final issue and Armored Batman's skin was one of the redeemable cosmetics for buying all of the issues. However, they only appear for a single page before the real Batman and Catwoman flee from them.
  • All According to Plan: Batman's actions were meticulously planned for by Dr. Slone, Lex Luthor, and the Batman Who Laughs — two super-geniuses and Batman himself. As a result, they're able to pull off their scheme successfully based on how Batman will act. Deathstroke notes that he worried Batman was going to stray from the script.
  • Call-Back:
    • The bunker entrances found all over the Island were in Chapter 2 since the beginning, and in Chapter 2 Season 5, Bunker Jonesy gave you a quest to investigate them. In the comic, Batman and co. discover that they lead into the main IO headquarters that houses a chamber to the Zero Point, previously seen in Chapter 2 Season 2 (Agent Jonesy's office) and Chapter 2 Season 5 (Jonesy sneaking out of his office into the chamber).
    • In Chapter 2 Season 6, we learn about snapshots, copies of Loopers, through a quest of meeting various Jonesy snapshots, thus explaining why we see different depictions of characters. Here, we learn that a snapshot is created in place of an escaped Looper, which is concluded by the escaped Batman and Catwoman when they meet their armored looper counterparts. This explains why there are so many Jonesy snapshots — they were created whenever Jonesy left the Loop to jump to other realities using his anchor device throughout Chapter 2 Season 5.
    • Most loopers (with the exception of a few who are immune in some way such as Harley Quinn, whose craziness made her immune, or Deathstroke, who had an anchor device) have amnesia upon entering the Loop and when the Loop is reset, though some like Batman and Catwoman had a vague sense of familiarity to each other or at least a semblance from their memories. The promotional mini webcomic for Beast Boy's skin stated that Raven had trouble remembering her past before the Island, though remembered "someone green" that she cared about. This also explains why Jonesy was worried about being trapped in the Loop before destroying his anchor device at the beginning of Chapter 2 Season 6.
  • Call-Forward: At the end, Slone has a rift engulf the Daily Planet as a part of her deal with Lex Luthor — likely to trap Superman on the Island, which is probably why Superman is a playable skin in Chapter 2 Season 7.
  • Captain Ersatz: Armored Batman and Armored Catwoman have formed a team with Big Chuggus, Nite Nite, Hush, and Hay Man, obvious stand-ins for Bane, the Joker, Hush, and the Scarecrow.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Those bunker entrances you've seen around the Island? Turns out they lead into the former headquarters of the Imagined Order.
  • Continuity Snarl:
    • Loopers apparently can't talk in the Loop, though what about NPCs? However, Fortnite: Battle Royale media at large has been inconsistent about this detail.
    • A few POIs like the Colossal Colosseum can be seen, despite not being in Chapter 2 Season 6.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Eternal Voyager enters the Zero Point and has parts of his body sent to different realities, effectively dismembering him while implicitly keeping him alive.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: The underground Imagined Order base is the main setting for the last couple of issues. Chapter 2 Season 7 would later have it explorable in the Imposters LTM.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: Loopers can't talk, referring to how the player characters are The Voiceless (not counting player mics).
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Issue #3 is just about Batman and Snake Eyes fighting each other, which is cool enough that the other Loopers stop their in-fighting just to watch them, leaning on the fact that this issue is pretty inconsequential story-wise.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Snake Eyes is hired by IO to go after Batman, leading to an entire issue of Cool Versus Awesome. They result in a draw but walk away respecting the other.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Not only is the comic a crossover between Fortnite and DC Comics' Batman, but also G.I. Joe, with Issue #3 largely being about Batman and Snake Eyes fighting each other.
  • The Reveal: One of the rooms in the underground base shows screens of the different storm circles, suggesting that the IO created and controls the Storm.
  • Sequel Hook: The final scene reveals that the entire comic was orchestrated by Doctor Slone, Deathstroke, Lex Luthor, and the Batman Who Laughs, and in exchange for the supervillains hooking up Slone's anchor device to give her and the IO unlimited access between the Island and the DC Universe, Slone organizes for a rift to appear over the Daily Planet and the comic ends noting that this story is far from over.
