Ashleigh

  • The Ace: Aside from leading her team to the biggest defeat in Young Apprentice (and at the time, one of the worst defeats in the show's history) in Week 5, she was considered by Lord Sugar to be the strongest and most consistent performer throughout the series, barely putting a foot wrong in any of the other tasks and being behind most of the key decisions that secured Platinum their victory in the final task.
  • Never My Fault: Repeatedly insisted that her team had a better product than Odyssey despite the overwhelming loss and when that fell through, attempted to blame David for not backing up Lucy against the theme (even though he did). It's likely had it not been for her otherwise strong track record, in contrast to David's disastrous record, this could've costed her survival dearly.
  • Oop North: From South Yorkshire.

Lucy

  • Always Someone Better: It's likely had she been up against any candidate from the series other than Ashleigh, she would've easily won the series.
  • Hyper-Competent Sidekick: Was considered to be in this in Weeks 4, 5, and 6.
  • The Generic Girl: While she wasn't a bad candidate by any stretch of the imagination, Lord Sugar considered her to be this in comparison to Ashleigh.

Maria

  • Arch-Enemy: To Andrew. Admitted in the confession cam that the two of them did not get along well together.
  • It's All About Me: Was criticised in Week 2 for her inability to work with anyone else's ideas except for her own. It was noted this was a problem that continued to persist up until her final task.

Patrick

Andrew

Steven

  • Informed Attribute: In Week 7, it was mentioned that he had attended music festivals, yet it proved very little in the way of help during the task.

Navdeep

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/navdeep_6.jpg
  • Fish out of Water: Like with Max, Lord Sugar considered her to be this, feeling she had more potential in other fields such as law.

David

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/david_39.jpg
  • Epic Fail: Was brought back into the boardroom three times in a row, and once more during his final week.
  • Keet: Despite being fired that week, he was credited for his energetic performance for his team's otherwise lifeless demonstration of their project.
  • The Scapegoat: Was made into this multiple times when he was on the losing team. Although Lord Sugar suggested that he didn't deserve to be brought back into the boardroom on all of his losses, he also added there was "no smoke without fire".
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Subverted. Although he won a task as project manager in Week 4 (the only time he was on a winning team), it was strongly implied he would've been fired had his team lost.

Alice

  • Failed a Spot Check: Was responsible for the numerous spelling errors in her team's cookbook, which she attributed to her being dyslexic.

Amy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/amy_5.jpg
  • Animal Motif: Compared herself to a tiger personality-wise.
  • Expy: To Paloma from Series 6. It's likely had she kept quiet, she wouldn't have been fired, however got dismissed for being too aggressive towards her colleagues in the boardroom.
  • Jerkass: Had a very aggressive personality and was noted to have started many of the arguments within her sub-teams.
  • No Social Skills: In the first task, her strategy for selling a jacket to a customer was to tell that "girls would be attracted to him" while in-front of said customer's girlfriend. When the girlfriend naturally objected, Amy's response was to tell the customer to dump her.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Delivered a blistering one of these to Steven and David, which played a massive role in her firing.

Sean

  • Expy: To Rocky from Series 5. Fired as project on the second week for failing on a task he was more than qualified to lead and bringing the wrong people back into the boardroom.
  • Tragic Mistake: It was suggested had he brought Patrick back into the boardroom instead of David, he would've not been fired.

Max

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/max_73.jpg
  • Bystander Syndrome: Contributed only £14 to Oddessy's £501 takings and devoted most of his time to stacking the stall despite having fantastic academic qualifications with 11 a* GCS Es.
  • Fish out of Water: Lord Sugar indirectly called him this in the boardroom, feeling that he was better suited for "different things".
  • Overly Long Name: Full name is Maximillian Joseph Anthony Sinasco Grodecki.
