Multiple Stories:
- Dead to Begin With: Every character here is dead.
- Formula-Breaking Episode: No one uses codenames, instead using their real names (often changed from canon to be more suited for the setting).
- Ghostly Goals: Each character explains why they're haunting the Palace.
- Our Ghosts Are Different: They all have different reasons for sticking around and different powers.
Goseumdochi
- The Atoner: He's forced to witness the damage he did in life, and comes to the Palace to ask for help to make things better for the living instead.
- Adaptational Name Change: Here he's named Go Seon-do.
- Flat-Earth Atheist: Downplayed; he had no reason to know ghosts were real before he died, but he's rather annoyed to find he's become one.
Mulsajo
- Adaptational Name Change: To Ji Ma-jo.
- Boom, Headshot!: Died from a shot to the head while trying to escape captivity in North Korea.
- Bring My Brown Pants: He wet himself while being tortured, and got his nickname from it.
- Delayed Reaction: It took him a while to realized he was dead.
- Dies Differently in Adaptation: Instead of being blown up by a grenade, he was shot by Geumsaegi when he tried to escape imprisonment in North Korea.
- I Love the Dead: His brother Mulmangcho was forced to have sex with his corpse at gunpoint.
- Malicious Misnaming: His torturers call him his canon name, which means "water wave", when he wet himself while being drowned.
- Reincarnation: He believes that he'll be reincarnated into either Geumsaegi or Mulmangcho's child in a few years.
