The "Good" Guys

A ragtag group of warriors and scholars who seek to end Prossor's reign of tyranny, and to bring "The New Way" into power.
    The Rider
A warrior and nomad who lives by the rules of the road.
  • But Now I Must Go: Pulls this at the end of the film, taking off on the road, and leaving Nastasia behind with The New Way.
  • The Chosen One: The Elders think this of him. He himself disagrees.
    • Despite his disagreement, and the lack of a sequal to prove it, the opening credits maintain, that he is destined to become, "THE WARRIOR OF THE LOST WORLD"
    • The reason they think so is that he could see through the "wall of illusion". He actually couldn't; Einstein the AI was driving and didn't notice it at all. Whether this is because Einstein is the real Chosen One or the illusion just doesn't affect machines is never addressed.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Throws a midget during his battle with the Desert Tribes.
  • Jerkass: Being a survivor of the war, surviving on his own for years, would kind of do that to you.
  • The Stoic: Never shows a great deal of emotion, whether it's Nastasia threatening to blow his balls off, having to leave Nastasia behind in enemy territory, Einstein's Disney Death, or when he pulls his "But Now I Must Go" moment at the end of the film.

    Nastasia McWayne
Professor McWayne's Action Girl daughter, seeking to free her father from Prossor's clutches at any cost.

    Professor McWayne
Leader of the Outsiders, and the man soldiering "The New Way".

    Einstein

    The Enlightened Elders

  • Crystal Spires and Togas: Their shtick.
  • Power Floats: While the council is healing the Rider, the lead Elder begins to levitate. Henchmen leads his elbow on his shoulder to push him back down again.

    Henchman
Fred Williamson's character, seen speaking with the Professor and the other Outsiders at several points.
  • The Mole: For Prossor.
  • No Name Given: They didn't bother to name him in the film. They didn't even bother to name him in the credits, listing him only as "Henchman".
  • Walking Spoiler: Not that it amounts to anything.

The Omega

    Prossor
The Dictatorial leader of The Omega, and a psychopathic, sadistic Large Ham.
