Todd
A boy with blue skin and an active imagination.
- Charlie Brown Baldness: He has a few strands of hair on his head, but that's it.
- Four-Fingered Hands
- Mr. Imagination
- Signing Off Catchphrase: He ends every episode with "See you next time, love Todd!"
- Trademark Favorite Food: He's very fond of his macaroni and cheese. He likes to eat it in the bathtub if he can, but he's fine eating it anywhere.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: In one episode, Todd is shown to have a fear of the dark, but he gets over it at the end of the episode. It is also never mentioned that Todd is afraid of the dark in any other episode either.
Benny
Todd's pet dog. When he isn't in the middle of eating he's thinking about food, playing, or sleeping.- Covered in Mud: Zigzags whenever Benny comes into contact with mud.
- Civilized Animal
- Fingerless Hands
- Funny Animal
- Sleepyhead: Benny is often found sleeping. In one episode when the group had a Slumber Party, Benny fell asleep and woke up just as they announced it was time for bed, then he got ready to go back to sleep.
- Talking Animal: He's a talking dog.
Pickle
One of Todd's best friends and the silly one of the group who comes from a lively circus. He has three pet worms that he usually brings with him wherever he goes.- Cloudcuckoolander: In a world that already features a main character who eats macaroni and cheese in the bathtub and wears underwear on his head for fun.
- Edible Theme Naming: Pickle is the only one in the main cast to have this. It apparently runs in the family, all of whom are green like him. He has an "Uncle Gherkin", and his younger cousin, a girl named "Briney".
- Height Angst: Only in one episode after he struggled to play Limbo like everyone else and kept losing. But as he made his way home Pickle learned that his height allowed him to help his friends.
- Unwanted Glasses Plot: Pickle was acting strange and had trouble seeing, leaving his friends worried about him until they caught him unprepared to see he needs glasses to read. Pickle was worried he looked weird with them on and didn't want people to laugh at him.
Sophie
A smart young girl and one of Todd's friends who loves inventing new things.- Deadpan Snarker: She is generally nice, but once her patience is tested she can become snarky.
- Flight: With her thick pigtails, she is able to fly. A few characters remark on it, but others are used to it. She says she was born with them, and her mother has the same hair, as does her baby sister Lily.
- Gadgeteer Genius
- Expressive Hair: She has thick, large pigtails that wiggle and stick up when she gets excited, and lower when she is unhappy.
- Meaningful Name: Sophie's name is Greek for "wisdom", and she appears to be one of the most intelligent characters in the show.
- Shrinking Violet: Sometimes she shows a reserved side to herself, usually when her ideas or concerns go ignored.
Stella
- Voiced by: Britt McKillip
- Feminine Women Can Cook: Stella has an interest in baking and often makes cookies for her friends. Bow-shaped of course!
- Girly Girl: Is big in to fashion and accessorizing. In one installment, creates a play called "A Salute to Sparkliness"
- Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: She also enjoys rough and tumble sports, playing in the dirt, and building karts for racing.
- Pink Means Feminine: She's the girliest character on the show and wears an outfit that is primarily pink and a mostly pink bow. Her house is also decorated primarily in pink, and she often brings the color up in various situations.
- Unusual Ears: Believed she had this in an early episode after the wind messed up her hair, exposing her two alternate colored ears. She didn't mind until a baby monkey laughed at her and pointed it out, causing her to focus on keeping her head covered until finally telling her friends what was bothering her. After they helped her realize they were special, she grew to love her unique ears and has no problem exposing them later in the series.
Mitzi
Sophie's friendly pet cat who loves to do two-legged dances. Normally the cool-tempered and wise one when paired up with Benny.- Parental Substitute: For Inky, Oswald, and Jake, three puppies she takes in after they found them outside of Sophie's apartment. She treats them like they are her own children and took offense when another dog refused to let the puppies play with her son because they act like cats.
- Put on a Bus: Later in the series this played a role in an episode. Mitzi and the puppies were given to Sophie's uncle, who owns a farm and would have the proper space for them to run around and not worry about making messes due to their growing size.
