Frank
One of the eponymous brothers and the one in the blue dungarees and green shirt. He's kind of the leader of the two, telling Buster (and occasionally other characters) what to do and sitting in the front of the plane.
- Catchphrase: As well as "We're here to help" (which he shares with Buster), he has, "Get the gate" and "Chocs away".
- Good Samaritan: Just like Buster, he makes a huge priority out of helping people.
- Phrase Catcher: When he says, "Get the gate", the person who the request is directed at (usually Ned) says, "I'm getting the gate, Frank!".
- Share Phrase: He and Buster share the Catchphrase "We're here to help".
- Speak in Unison: Whenever he and Buster say that they're "here to help", they say it both at once.
Buster
The other brother, who sort of acts as Frank's assistant. He's the one in the beige clothes and the klutzier of the two.
- Butt-Monkey: The more accident-prone brother.
- Chew Toy: Most of his misfortunes are played for humour.
- Good Samaritan: He's just as "here to help" as Frank.
- The Klutz: He's a bit clumsy, often on the receiving end of Slapstick.
- Limited Wardrobe: Like most of the characters, he always wears the same clothes. It shows when he complains of the hot weather, yet still wears a sweater.
- Share Phrase: He and Frank share the "we're here to help" catchphrase.
- Speak in Unison: When he and Frank say, "We're here to help", they say it in unison.
Ned
A wombat who lives in a caravan and works as the brothers' assistant during takeoff. A running gag is him wanting to change jobs. He's also pretty naive.
- Catchphrase: He tends to say, "I'm getting the gate, Frank!" when Frank tells him to open the gate.
- Imaginary Friend: In one episode, he creates an imaginary friend named "Big Benny".
- Phrase Catcher: When Frank says, "Get the gate", it's usually to him.
- Sick Episode: "Ned Catches a Cold" is about just what it sounds like.
- Through a Face Full of Fur: He has the same pink cheeks as the majority of the cast, but it's taken to the next level in "Ned Goes Red", where he does indeed go red (once from sunburn, once from blushing) both times on his fur rather than his nose.
Mitzi
A possum who's the rudest member of the gang and lives near the Koala Brothers.
- Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Most possums are brown or grey, but she's yellow.
- Catchphrase: Tends to say, "Coo-ee!".
- Cuddle Bug: She's often seen hugging the other characters.
- Genki Girl: Is one of the most energetic characters.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Mouthy, but nice.
- Motor Mouth: She tends to speak quickly.
- Running Gag: In some episodes, she often tends to briefly lose one of her sandals, only to slip it back on again.
Sammy
An echidna who works at the store.
- Aardvark Trunks: He's an echidna whose mouth is below his beak, instead of at the tip.
Josie
Sammy's assistant and a kangaroo.
- Genki Girl: While not as active as Mitzi or Archie, she's still active.
- Kangaroos Represent Australia: She's a kangaroo and lives in Australia with the others.
- Shrinking Violet: She's pretty shy.
Alice
A platypus who works at the cafe and drives a motorscooter.
- Forgetful Jones: She has a tendency to forget.
- Supreme Chef: She's very good at cooking, especially baking.
Archie
A sporty crocodile who lives nearby.
- Genki Boy: He's the most active out of all the cast.
- Green Gators: A green crocodile.
- Never Smile at a Crocodile: Inverted; he's a friendly crocodile.
- Vague Age: He lives alone, suggesting he's an adult, but in one episode, he gets a loose tooth.
Lolly
An emu who drives the ice cream truck.
- Catchphrase: She likes to say, "What would you like to cool you down?" or "What can I do for you today?".
- The Klutz: Is clumsy due to her size.
George
A tortoise and the mailman.
Penny
A penguin who lives in Antarctica but comes to visit sometimes.
- Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: She wears only a hat.
- Civilised Animal: She's the least humanlike of the gang— her name resembles her species, she eats fish the way a real-life penguin would, she only wears a hat, and she doesn't talk but makes penguin noises instead. Despite this, she's sapient.
- I Am Not Weasel: Mitzi mistakes her for a duck in her debut episode.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Her name, Penny, is a pun on penguin, her species.
