The Avengers
Ant-Man
Henry Pym/Ant-Man
Voiced by: Rod Wilson
- Adaptational Nice Guy: This version of Hank never develops the hostile mindset as Yellowjacket that led to him striking his wife.
- Adaptive Armor: His helmet deliberately changes form when he goes into Giant-Man.
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: The humble ant.
- Composite Character: He's either a humble leader like Captain America or an excessive scientist like Iron Man.
- Create Your Own Villain: He built Ultron years prior to the series, having thought it was destroyed. He found out in episode 2 that the mysterious robot attacking the mansion was his creation, who would go on to be a major villain for the series.
- Heroic Self-Deprecation: He's introduced wondering if he's really cut out to lead the Avengers, thinking he's not the hero Captain America, Thor or Iron Man are.
- Powered Armor: He has special armor that he dons when preparing for battle.
- Sizeshifter: Both ways! He can become tiny as well as gigantic.
The Wasp
Janet van Dyne/Wasp
Voiced by: Linda Ballantyne
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: The flighty wasp.
- Powered Armor: She's another member of the team who uses special armor for combat.
- Sizeshifter: Turns small to facilitate flight. May be a necessity thanks to that armor.
- Team Mom: Janet is the most empathetic member of the team, and helps care for her fellow Avengers' emotional wellbeing.
Hawkeye
Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Voiced by: Tony Daniels
- Badass Normal: Hawkeye has no powers, but is a highly skilled archer. He was the only one without some extranormal ability until Falcon came along.
- Celibate Hero: He's the only male member of the Avengers who isn't romantically involved or interested in a female member of the team.
- Expy: His voice and attitude are written to be more akin to Wolverine rather than his comic self.
- Improbable Aiming Skills: As expected, he's able to fire his arrows at anything without err.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Hawkeye is often brash and obnoxious, but he values his friends.
- Powered Armor: He's one of the members of the team to use special armor.
Scarlet Witch
Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
Voiced by: Stavroula Logothettis
- Dude Magnet: Wonder Man, Vision and Namor find her attractive.
- Purple Is Powerful: Despite her name being the Scarlet Witch, her suit has two shades of purple standing out more.
- Superpower Lottery: The whole Winds of Destiny, Change! thing is supposed to be rather unpredictable, necessitating a training session in the first episode.
- Winds of Destiny, Change!: Trope Namer which comes from the her signature chant. It may seem like a pointless power, but she's the only person who can consistently beat Ultron.
Wonder Man
Simon Williams/Wonder Man
Voiced by: Hamish Mc Ewan
- Cool Shades: He wears stylish red sunglasses.
- Flying Brick: Standard combination of super strength, flight, and energy protection.
Tigra
Greer Nelson/Tigra
Voiced by: Lenore Zann
- Adaptational Modesty: This Tigra wears a sports bra and shorts instead of the bikini of the comics.
- Affirmative Action Girl: The roughest and toughest of the ladies. And in the spirit of the trope, she's even a different color! (If tiger stripes count...)
- Animal Stereotype: The episode "The Rule Atlantis," deals heavily with Tigra's fear of water. Which is odd, since tigers are known for being one of the few feline species that actually swim quite frequently.
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: As her name suggests, she's based on tigers.
- Cat Folk: She happens to be a humanoid tiger-woman.
- Cats Hate Water: Tigra the tiger-woman hates water. She is revealed to be afraid of water in "To Rule Atlantis". Ironically, tigers are adept swimmers because of their broad paws and regularly use water for bathing and hunting.
- Ship Tease: She and Falcon are shown to grow close over the series, though she doesn't become a couple with him like how the other females of the team are involved.
The Vision
The Vision
Voiced by: Ron Rubin
- Heel–Face Turn: Was created by the villain Ultron, but instead ends up joining with the Avengers.
- Robot Buddy: Vision is an android ally of the Avengers.
The Falcon
Sam Wilson/The Falcon
Voiced by: Martin Roach
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: Falcons are his theme, though the 'superbeing' bit is in question.
- Powered Armor: The last of the Avengers who utilize special armor.
- Ret-Canon: During a brief bit in Dan Jurgens's Captain America run, the Sam of the comics sported his animated counterpart's armored costume.
- Token Minority: He is the only minority member of the team.
