Main Characters
In the three movies
Tad Stones
Voiced by: Óscar Barberán (Spanish dub), José Antonio Macías (Latin American Spanish dub), Kerry Shale (English dub, first film) Trevor White (English dub, The Secret of King Midas)
- Cool Car: Tad's Isetta.
- Daydream Surprise: When we first meet Tad as a child, he's fantasizing an Indiana Jones-esque adventure. When we first meet him as an adult... he's doing exactly the same.
- George Jetson Job Security: Tad gets fired because his dog urinates on the boss. A colleague comments that Tad has been fired seven times just this year. Tad doesn't even worry because he'll soon become a famous archaeologist.
- A Minor Kidroduction: The first scene shows Tad as a child.
- Raised by Grandparents: Raised by his grandmother.
- Shout-Out:
- In the original Spanish dub, his name is Tadeo Jones. His hat also resembles Indiana's and, according to Humbert, belonged to a famous archaeologist.
- In the Spanish dub, Humbert actually comments that the hat indeed belonged to Indiana, while the Indiana Jones franchise's characteristic theme sounds in the background.
Sara Lavrof
Voiced by: Ariel Winter (English dub, first film) Alex Kelly (English dub, sequel)
- Disney Death: Undergoes one in the sequel when she's transformed into a golden statue.
- The Glasses Gotta Go: Sara gets rid of them early in the movie, and adopts a... different fashion style to go along.
- Ms. Fanservice: Wears an orange tank top that reveals her blatant cleavage.
- Shout-Out: Sara's outfit resembles that of Lara Croft. Her full name, Sara Lavrof, also sounds similar.
- The Ugly Guy's Hot Daughter: Professor Lavrof's daughter Sara.
Jeff
Tad's pet dog.
Belzoni
Sara's pet parrot.
- Polly Wants a Microphone: A funny subversion - Belzoni has human level intelligence, is able to play poker, do mimic and communicate with signs... but he's mute.
Mummy
Voiced by: Joseph Balderrama (English dub), Luis Posada (Spanish dub)
- Ambiguous Disorder: Mummy is prone to weird behaviors like clapping his hands like a little child or crossing his eyes, tends to be easily distracted, is frequently laughing without reason, and has poor social skills (like having No Sense of Personal Space when he gives spontaneous hugs).
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: He behaves as if he had ADHD.
- Beware the Silly Ones: As silly as he can be, just remember... as guardian of a magical artifact, this mummy has killed people before (like a pre-hispanic intruder, some spaniards, a man with a ball of fire onscreen no less and even an alien)
- Blessed with Suck: Sure, it seems awesome to live forever, but not so much when all your body parts are falling apart and you are feared by almost everyone. While the later is what the Incas wanted (to scare the intruders), this is not exactly what this mummy wanted.
In Tad, the Lost Explorer
Freddy
In Tad the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas
Tiffany Maze
In Tad the Lost Explorer and the Emerald Tablet
Victoria Moon
Ramona
- Rule of Three: Her reign as Pharaoh only lasted three days.
- Short-Lived Leadership: Her reign was short-lived because a jealous cousin of hers placed a scorpion on her bed to usurp the throne. The only record showing she once was a Pharaoh is a line showing her name in a long list of Pharaohs. It's a pleasant surprise when someone can tell who she is without her introducing herself.
Antagonists
Kopponen
The apparent leader of the Odyssey mercenaries.
- Artificial Limbs: Has a mechanical arm that can detach and transform into various weapons.
- Disney Villain Death: Ends up plummeting to his death as a result of the underground temple's booby trap.
- The Dragon: Revealed to be this to Max.
- Obvious Villain, Secret Villain: The Obvious Villain to Max Mordon's Secret Villain.
Max Mordon
A world-famous archeologist, Tad's idol, and Sara's fiancé. In reality, he's the true leader of Odysseus.
- Broken Pedestal: Towards Tad and Sara once they learn of his true colors.
- Fake Ultimate Hero: A famed archeologist, he's actually a criminal and fraud who doesn't actually know much about archeology.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Him seeking the Incan statue ends up being his own undoing; the statue grants him immortality, at the cost of transforming him into a mummy.
- Immortality Seeker: Why he seeks the Incan statue.
- Obvious Villain, Secret Villain: The Secret Villain to Kopponen's Obvious Villain.
- Pyrrhic Victory: He succeeds in his goal of achieving immortality....by being cursed to become a mummy, in addition to spending his now-immortal life locked away in Paititi's dungeon.
- Self-Disposing Villain: He attempts to acquire the Incan statue to achieve immortality, only to discover that the statue achieves this by transforming the user into a living mummy. He pleads for the curse to be reversed, but the condition is permanent.
Jack Rackham
The main antagonist of The Secret of King Midas.
- Bad Boss: His response to learning what one of his mooks thinks of him via truth serum is to drop him out of the helicopter to his death.
- Evil Wears Black: Always seen wearing a formal black suit.
- Godhood Seeker: He seeks Midas' necklace to attain the power of the gods and use it to Take Over the World.
- Karmic Death: In the movie's climax, once he gets to wear King Midas' full necklace, he tries to kill the main characters with lightning bolts. Every hit with these causes part of the cave to crumble, which ends up killing him and all of his Mooks who remained up at that point.
- Take Over the World: What he hopes to accomplish with Midas' necklace.
Other characters

A taxi driver from The Secret of King Midas who accompanies the main characters during their way throughout Toledo. He's seen again in the movie's ending.
