Lex Luthor

The Prodigal Son of Metropolis
  • Abusive Parents: Was on the receiving end of this at the hands of his father Lionel Luthor. Seemingly subverted with his own child Cassandra
  • Badass Normal: In a world filled with metahumans, monsters, aliens, and gods. Lex is doing well rising up the ranks for a (admittedly genius) businessman.
  • Bald of Evil: As expected for Lex Luthor.
  • Berserk Button: Generally anyone, knowingly or not who tries to surpass him. Superman debuting has put the man of steel near the top of Lex's shitlist for taking the spotlight during Intergang's attack on Metropolis.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: Lex can act like a legitimate businessman...when he wants to. He is more than happy to pull illegal activities and is far from above murder.
  • Determinator: It doesn't matter what curveballs or setbacks life throws at him. Lex will not give in easily, even if you invade all of Metropolis itself.
  • Evil Parents Want Good Kids: Very much averted with Cassandra
  • Pet the Dog: Lex is undeniably evil but there appears to be some genuine love or the very least affection with his adopted child Cassandra. His friendship with Mercy is also genuine unlike certain other incarnations.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Superman in his true full debut helped to save Metropolis during the Intergang attack but this didn't stop Lex from becoming his nemesis.
  • Villain Protagonist: Lex Luthor, arch-nemesis to the Man of Tomorrow is the protagonist of this story.

Mercy Graves

Lex Luthor's Right Hand
  • Battle Butler: Technically is this, but she does so much more.
  • Bodyguard Babes: Mercy is ruthless but definitely attractive.
  • Brains and Brawn: Downplayed with Lex, Mercy is smart in her own right and Lex isn't afraid of direct conflict but she is his bodyguard for a reason. Lex usually has better things to do than fighting directly anyway.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Mercy is usually serious, but when she does loosen up she can be this.
  • The Dragon: Just like most incarnations, she serves as this for Lex.
  • Undying Loyalty: Mercy may have issues with his orders sometimes, but she wholeheartedly believes in and trusts Lex.

Cassandra Cain/Cassandra Luthor

World's Deadliest Eleven Year Old
  • Adaptational Villainy: Unsurprising considering how her adopted father doesn't end up being Batman but rather Lex Luhor.
  • Blood Knight: More so than her canon counterpart, Cassandra loves a good fight and isn't afraid to get messy as well.
  • But Not Too Foreign: Just like canon, her biological parents were Lady Shiva and David Cain, making her half-Chinese.
  • Cute Bruiser: Cass is a smart and adorable kid (later preteen) to those she likes. This doesn't change the fact she can kill the average man in hundreds of different ways without trying.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Not quite there yet in the canon story, but non canon future stories put her having one with Jinx.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her father David Cain used to trained her as a weapon but by the time of her introduction he a non-existent factor in her life. Her mom Shiva is even an bigger no-show, Cassandra doesn't even know who her mother is. Considering what Lady Shiva's goals are this is very much a good thing.
  • Walking Spoiler: This version of Cass is very hard to talk about without revealing her status as Luthor's daughter
  • Villainous Lineage: She is currently Lex's only known child and he is well on his way to grooming her to replace him as humanity's leader once he passes
